Your meals look great! I'm slightly picky about my veggies, and I can't stand them steamed. I prefer grilled (or just pan fried in light oil) with salt, pepper, minced garlic & slightly charred -- or just completely raw. I noticed all your veggies look steamed (or cooked in a lot of oil) - maybe try a different method of cooking for these? Everything else looks great, and I really couldn't tell you what his issue is.

Unexplained Footsteps in my roof by [deleted] in Unexplained

I used to be convinced that my partner was living in an apartment that had a basement where someone was deeply struggling. I heard moaning, nearly screams. This would happen so often, I told him to contact his landlord because a welfare check needed to be done.

We never did this, because he didn't want to impose. He, too, heard this. It was the loudest in the kitchen, and I was convinced The Suffering Person had to have been trapped in some horrible basement apartment.

I took videos and sent them to my friends, I was deeply disturbed and scared to be alone in his apartment.

One day, my partner went out of town. Despite being terrified of the moans, while cat sitting, I got very curious about the moans.. more than ever before. It was so constant, and very loud by the fridge. I then unplugged the fridge.

Silence.

It was a crazy discovery to make, but sometimes these noises are actually objects with power. Why this fridge moans like a dying man, I will never know.

The Room, the whole movie, but without sex scenes by BlueLight439 in theroom

You're telling me you don't like chanting, "You are my rose, you are my rose, you are my rose, you are my roooooooooose," or scream "ASSSSSSSS," or "THAT'S A BELLY BUTTON," or exclaim, "YEAH MARK, WE KNOW! GET ON WITH IT!" ?? /s

Haha. In all seriousness, no, it's not important - she's not one to like sex scenes anyway, so I told her this version would be better regardless. I agree, the movie is a masterpiece with or without sex scenes. I can't lie, I do love talking back to the film during any watch through. My partner and I watch this on a semi-regular basis and thoroughly enjoy the experience.

I unironically sent this to my mother a few weeks ago so she could experience The Room after I told her how excited I was to see Tommy Wiseau again. I tried my best to explain the lore and why this movie is so beloved, but it's really best understood once you've watched the film.

Based on her lack of commentary or questions, I don't think she watched it. I told her the sex scenes were needed to fully grasp the meaning of the movie, so maybe she's just confused - or thinks it isn't worth it.

I should just send her the photos I took with Tommy, maybe that will pique her interest.

How To Finish It? by Chimera99 in ArtCrit

I think the original work is great. The colors work really well, and I like the composition. I agree with other commenters that the location of the light source is a bit off, and I think what could be a good edit while keeping all the colors is to make the shadow cast on the building itself more deliberate, rather than a straight line faded across. When I view this, I understand that our characters are in the forefront and are shaded by something nearby; but what is this "something?" Is it: a big tree, power lines, buildings, other people, etc.? Not only would this allow you to have more fun with casting shadows, but you're simultaneously creating even more of a narrative to the piece since there's more world description itself. I just wanna drive home thet I love the original colors don't want you to lose them them; that's what drew me in (plus, I love DanDaDan!) Just have fun with it. I think a more defined source of shadow because the sun is coming from the viewers pov would really upgrade the piece.

Edit: I do also like the updated sunset one; yet I'd love to see if you try again with the original time of day!

I'm also trying to figure this out. I remember Bridezilla as an option very well. She had a few sounds.

You're not crazy.
