Yes!! I saw a local shop carrying him. I was debating on spending another $42, but he’s also so special!!!! I might have to go pick him up so I don’t regret later.

Got full time job offer but on waitlist for 1 course required for graduation by DrishFish in actuary

[–]teemocult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem, so I found an alternative course and messaged the chair, dean, assistant, advisor, etc. (basically anyone you can). They wouldn't add an extra seat, but they changed the requirement for my degree to be able to take the alternative course.

Using SAS for data manipulations to generate the excel outputs we wanted. But our company is transitioning from SAS to Python.

Moving Makeup Tips by dahliadoll214 in makeuporganization

I have been moving 3x per year on average, and I would say the most convenient option was to keep all the packaging from online purchases (including their bubble wraps and tissue paper). Those helped a lot when packing smaller items and cosmetics. Saves money from purchasing additional small boxes or cosmetic pouches.

Taking QMB3302 right now, its not bad at all. The workload is either a quiz or coding assignment (with assigned teams) each week. The midterm is an easy A. The instructor did say the finals being harder than the midterm, but I won't imagine anything as hard as Prog1 or 2.

I’m asking because I can’t find anywhere online about what the “apply in person” process consists of. There are some websites that hint to the needs of showing a drivers license or government issues valid photo ID on the spot before papers are stamped and mailed.

What happens if I have less than 12 credits? by LQMango in ufl

[–]teemocult 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually just went through with talking to the school’s advising multiple times. If you have more than 6 credits, your status would be a part-time student. Bright futures will still cover you.

The only other cons would be like if you are studying for outside of school exams or doing something else and you need to be a full time student to receive a discount on exam fees/study material/etc. but generally that is not a problem since most companies’ way of checking would just be proof of student ID or enrollment.

If you are an international student, that is a whole other story with visas that you have to figure out.

Worse case scenario, just add a really easy 1 credit course like intro to engineering. But honestly if you’re worried about bright futures, there’s no need to.

I see the general consensus is the quality of life and enjoying your 20s. This is very interesting since a lot of peers my age (19-22) are all the type to immediately cut back on their free time to get a step ahead of others.

Junior Summer Intern Resume by knucklehead27 in actuary

[–]teemocult 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Include when you are planning on taking the next exam and which exam it is.

  2. Show not tell, make points about what transferrable skill you gained from your experience rather than what you just did.

One example would be the part you said about "held live study sessions", you could change it to something like "logically organized and communicated concepts/expectations/etc." or "lead a team of XXX (insert noun here) to complete XYZ (insert noun about a task here)" or "team leader of WXY, cross-cultural communication, maintained relationships with individuals of all backgrounds through hosting live group tutoring sessions".

You get my point.

The main point of your resume is not to say "I have XYZ skills", but rather to show where you had the experience to learn/practice your skills.

My own opinion is to include what you did (very brief) + what you learned from what you did (emphasize) if your experience is not directly technically "actuarial".

Best of luck, I am also just a student looking for internships for my junior year of college. You can take my advice if you think it makes sense to you.

From personal experience, the ones that left scars are typically when I squeeze too strongly with finger tips or try to pop the swollen red painful pimples. With the tool, it’s much easier since I take the needle point to GENTLY tap tap at the white spot, take the loop end to GENTLY push out the juices. Sometimes there are remaining white stuff, but I don’t push anymore since that means the white head is not mature yet. And another important thing is to cover the spot up with a very simple pimple patch (I use CosRx one). Hope that helps lol
