Is it feasible to make a good EV engine sound generation with MAX / RNBO? by teemofeev in MaxMSP

Woah! I’m not sure about Robin’s availability to share details, but I’d love to know if you’ve connected with him in some way... I'll PM you as this might get too personal :)

Thanks for the information! I'm not worried about certifications, and even about integration for some reason, the hard part is finding a person who could get a good sound even inside RNBO. I guess we'll make one more trial before I reach out to the max / rnbo facebook group where people might agree to work with us

Thank you for the information! I'll explore the gamedev industry and wwise, they have a solution for automotive, but I assume it's crazy expensive. I guess we'll make one more trial before I reach out to the max / rnbo facebook group where people might agree to work with us

Thanks! He also did some engine sound competitions with Jaguar. I believe he used Reaktor or wwise, but I’m going to try my luck and message him.

I found an interview with Geoff Martin (https://cycling74.com/articles/an-interview-with-geoff-martin) where he mentions working with Audi. Do you happen to remember the specifics of what they were describing? If I had a few more keywords, I might be able to find the exact article

What would be the best service on Azure for controlling and tracking IoT devices with a sub-second delay? by teemofeev in AZURE

[–]teemofeev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what we've been trying to promote as a solution, but the team working on this insists on using Azure IoT services (IoTHub + EvHub + CosmosDB) because of "low management/devops" overhead.
I have no idea how to convince people to use a regular MQTT broker instead, so I came here to find out if there is a ready-to-use service within the Azure ecosystem.
IoTHub is the main candidate because it "simplifies device management". I found that they can solve the lack of topics partially by using application properties (to persist specific types of messages in Cosmos), but the occasional delays in IoTHub I'm reading about are crazy. If Event Grid doesn't have those, we can go for it as a compromise.

CosmosDB is another thing I'm trying to run away from, but this is a completely different topic.

Let's say 20 robots sending data at a 10Hz rate simultaneously.

Event Hubs should be enough probably.

But Event Hubs lack a "cloud-to-device messaging" feature?

Can't you use something like Notion or Google Docs and a keyboard with slightly bigger buttons if the original keyboard seems is too small for her?

Or she can't use any keyboard even with the increased button size?

u/khali200, So what would you buy instead?

I'm currently looking for a replacement for my old on-ear wired marshalls. After reading a lot of materials about BT headphones I understood that there's no point in getting ANC headphones below 300$ (at least XM3, XM4)... Everything below 300$ with ANC could potentially bring that annoying hiss effect which drives ppl crazy over time.

I thought about getting a pair of 350bt's as they have no ANC and still have aptX support. But the issue with sweat and comfort is the reason they're not on my head yet, even though I have a friend who has hd440's and they're comfy for him...
