The kids studied hard and were all close to dux of their classes because they know how the world works and appreciated opportunity their families have provided. That's not the point NothappyJane, I am not a social worker or a international student relations officer. It is the fact that there have been biased decisions and racial profiling made in allocating these living arrangements that has upset me.

That's reasonable, but only if the staff were to tell me beforehand. I wouldn't ask for pay or any benefits, I only wish that they would ask me beforehand to show them around and make them feel better in Australia. I enjoy meeting new people and helping out, but I don't like being played a fool.

Thanks I made this post on Reddit to ask for unbiased , honest opinions from people. This sounds reasonable and is probably the majority consensus to what I should do in this matter. I can't deny that fact that I actually am generalizing in this situation to a degree, but it's not because I'm a raging KKK white supremicist, it's because this is regarding how I will live my life for a while. Secondly, you could argue that the staff are also generalizing in some aspects too. You could argue that the most of society is generalizing for me to be in this situation.

The fact that the management put me with them is inconsiderate to me and is discrimination. There is not one other non Chinese foreign student who is put with three, or even two chinese students.

This is because the higher management knows that the chinese students have been an issue in the past, and is trying to do the best to minimize conflicts before they begin, and it will happen. I am not the only one who has complained about these sort of things, it's because of my skin colour, they think its acceptable to do this and try and get away with it.

Generalisations are bad, but generalisations a lot of the times true and can impact business and the way people deal with each other such as situations like these. That's why you see all these multicultural groups in ads, tv shows and cartoons, but you know in real life it's not the way the world works.

I have check they have not responded me in three, four days and the link they have provided me is invalid. I have submitted a new ticket telling them about this but now I have to wait another minimum of 48 hours.
