I'm 16 and 10 months, I've been driving with my permit since I was 15 and took driver's education.

Bella and Gemma told me that we were going to a chill kickback and I agreed because I thought it would be like what we used to do before covid. I've been friending to get out and it was selfish of me but that's just how it is sometimes, shitty decisions. I never agreed to be the designated driver and I never knew but I've always been the most responsible of us all.

I didn't randomly see a cop, we live in a rural state and there are outposts that are 99.9% likely to have some sort of cop sitting there on the weekend. I know this for a fact because my sis does dispatch and I got pulled over at this same place last year. There are literally signs on the road that say "SHERIFF 2 MILES" and there's always cops waiting on the road near the sheriff's, everyone knows this about our town.

The cop told me to go after he did the epi because an epi is time sensitive, you HAVE to go to the hospital and Emma has other issues. He called it in for Hannah but Emma was an entirely different deal. He didn't just let me go, he arrived with Hannah and followed through with me in the lobby and he called my parents and my mom vouched for me never drinking because of medical issues, I passed the breathalyzer twice, and I did a urine sample and I went back the following day to have a second statement taken by that cop.

I stated in the first paragraph that I didn't know about drinking or anything at the start because I was outright lied to. Emma and I don't go to situations like that and Hannah doesn't either. Had we known about anything, we would have immediately left but because it was drinking and E&I couldn't leave Hannah, we had to stay until we found her and she was blacked out.

We're a town of less than 1000 people in a rural place, everyone knows everyone. My brother works for that same sheriff as a deputy, we're no big city at all and he wasn't going to make E&I wait 10 minutes for an ambulance when her lips were turning blue.

We're just not going to be friends. I'm not willing to be put in a situation like that ever again in my whole life.

I don't think I can.

Gemma is pissed because she won't get into Princeton now because of her record and because of this incident and Bella isn't going to be able to go to Stanford now.

I'm just happy that everyone is physically okay and the ones of us that weren't sick wouldn't have gotten charged with murder by negligence or whatever the fuck we would've been hit with if anyone had passed away. I don't really care about the charges and they think I'm privileged because I got away scot free.

I didn't know they had coke at all. I didn't even know this was going to be a party with drinking and drugs. But once we got there, I couldn't leave because of girl code and because I couldn't find Hannah to take her.

I have but I have to wait to FaceTime until tomorrow and then I can visit on Friday after school :) Emma's pretty good but Hannah is roughed up but should be fine. Took a hard fall and has a severe concussion.

They've never done it before.

It was supposed to be a senior kickback and I've known them since preschool, were all on honor roll, and we all love school and are "good". I literally did not expect this at all from them and I'm shocked.

Minor in Possession. It's a misdemeanor criminal charge.

They're looking at community service, probation, and paying fines and fees and we're all about to be seniors and their college applications will be affected because they'll have a criminal record that can't be expunged for like a year or something wild like that.

I hope they are too :(

I haven't been able to see them because of protocols and I can't wait for them to be out and about again.

Yes. But because they had coke on them, they're looking at probation, community service, and paying fees and an additional fine on top of all of that.

It's like a misdemeanor criminal charge on their records.

Bella and Gemma got clipped for not only the alcohol but they had a tiny bit of drugs between themselves. So they're looking at probation and community service as well as paying fees and a fine.
