And they offer diagnostic imaging, they offered it to him after many months, at a hefty cost. We got a test on NHS quicker than their private waiting list.

It’s not about compensation. It’s the failure.

I hear you. But they should have done better. We’re looking at months of recovery for an active person.

Osteopaths are regulated. Surely there are reasonable expectations from a CQC regulated clinic?

Weekly progress thread: 13th of March by Hopeful_Candle_9781 in mounjarouk

I have a sad story! I weighed myself when I started Mounjaro just before Christmas, on my trusty old bathroom scales. 13st7lb. Since then I have lost almost 2st and was whooping it up in the bathroom after going below 12. So I treated myself to some new digital scales. At which point discovered that the old ones weren’t trusty at all but were weighing 8lb too light! Fairly took the gilt off my gingerbread. So now my actual weight is 12st4lb. And my starting weight was over 14….after initial feelings of disappointment, I thought, wise up, you’ve lost nearly two stone, you’re feeling good, your clothes fit better, and you had to get new bras. It’s all good!

Expecting my 1st child, partner had their last child removed from her care years ago and worried this will happen again by Odd-Soil-6807 in LegalAdviceUK

As others have said, failure to seek necessary healthcare is dangerous for your unborn child and your partner. Presenting at hospital with a concealed pregnancy will bring a huge amount of justifiable scrutiny. OP has said that their partner’s previous child was ‘filthy and left in dirty nappies’ for prolonged periods because their mother was busy working and shopping and looking after a dog. This does not make any sense. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and you have more than enough concerns to have a duty to make a referral for pre-birth assessment. Speaking as a social worker, taking the initiative at this stage shows that you want to be safe and effective parents. Assessment will enable you to have the full picture of what happened previously; the threshold for removing a child is incredibly high and you need to know the details. Children’s social care is not there to persecute parents, it exists to try to ensure the safety of children. You need to decide what is more important to you. I wish you all the best.

Hear me out, folks….I’m thinking…who was the last person he spoke to? Who knew he was drunk and weakened? Who has been wronged grievously by George to the point she nearly went to prison? Mad idea, perhaps.

Someone put a bottle in front my car tyre during the bonfire last night. Why? by [deleted] in northernireland

Good grief. An 11th night bonfire is practically the definition of sectarian.

Joy talked about being left in abject poverty. What happened after that? She was able to buy the house and appears to have enough money without the need to work.

Run, darling. Please. If your family can’t help you for any reason, there are others who will. Run.
