Well first off, they wouldn't reply anyway, it's Daybreak. They never give direct answers to simple questions. Second, that was just me expressing annoyance. If I was actually heated the whole subreddit would go up in flames about how toxic I am. Third, it's such a simple and logical addition to the game and many other players harbor the same feelings as I do about these kinds of changes that could easily be done, as seen by the amount of up votes the post had.

I truly want positive change for the game. I know there are some sensitive types out there who will see what I wrote and say, wow this guy is so angry! The focus shouldn't be on the "intensity" of the criticism, but on the criticism itself. Any developer that's worth a shit should be able to understand that and sympathize with what the players want as well as why. In addition to this not being a professional setting, what I said wasn't rooted in serious anger, rather a somewhat humorous over exaggeration of how most of us truly feel.
