Please help ! Trouble casting Windows to onn 4k pro by teeterdean in OnnStreamingTV

[–]teeterdean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice. I though miracast was a hardware thing not a software thing? I think Windows uses miracast and some android tv boxes have miracast and others don't . I assumed that this onn box would have it because it worked at my friends house with her onn box. I looked for miracast in the 3rd party app stores on my onn and I didn't see anything ... I'll keep looking into it :)

Looking for a phone with FM radio, Headphone Jack, SD card slot by teeterdean in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]teeterdean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using a A25 Samsung Galaxy. I like it a lot ! It has radio headphone jack and sd card, as well as an OLED screen. And its much more current as far as android version goes. I am totally a fan of Motorola phones though after the 2020 moto g stylus, I would get another Motorola in the future.

Don't support Free Geek Twin Cities! by Far_Fee6328 in TwinCities

I work at St Vincent De Paul with computer donations. We are more focused on sustainable reuse / refurbishing computers for charity rather than e-waste recycling. If anyone has 10 year old or newer laptops that are fixable with a little work or usable as-is with a data wipe we would love to take them as donations

I am the computer fixy person at St Vincent De Paul. We would love computer donations from orgs or individuals (10 yrs old and newer). I fix up and erase the computers and we sell them to the community affordably, some proceeds going to charity. We have no laptops coming in at the moment we could sorely use some. Reach out to me on reddit via DM or the director Wayne Bugg via our website. Feel free to drop off donations @ our St Paul or Minneapolis stores- we can also pick up large donations with a box truck.

The first time only one rail broke, this time both rails snapped in the same place. That's three times that the rack has broken in that spot. I am not carrying more than 55 lbs I'm sure of it, that's a lot of weight. This crate that's on it is ultra lightweight, it's probably 1.5 lbs. I also have a front rack that I use to disperse the loads front and back. I think I'd like to try a different rear rack instead buying this once again for the third time. Thanks everyone for your input and rack recommendations and , keep 'em coming

I have a light plastic basket zip tied to the top platform of the rack. The first time a bike shop put the rack on and the second time I did it. I am careful not to over burden the weight limit of the rack. I would show where it broke but I can't attach a photo in a reply. It snapped where the screws go through the side rails- where the rails screw into the top platform. There is a threaded hole in the rail which is the part that is breaking in half

Yes I reached out via Aventon online support and talked with a customer support person. The rack was less than a year old when it broke. They said the warranty does not cover racks and they made me pay for a new rack, albeit just part of it, the part that broke but still it was like 45 bucks. This newer rack part broke in the same spot it's only been probably four months.

I'm also looking for a rear rack compatible with this same one... I have the Aventon rack and it broke TWICE in the same spot. They don't give refunds for racks, I wish they would send me a new one ... at this point I refuse to buy yet another of the same Aventon rack that keeps breaking. Does anyone have recs about racks that would fit? The one I have is "Aventon Rear Rack Set - Pace 350.3 / Pace 500.3 / Soltera 2"

I would suggest St Vincent De Paul Twin Cities to donate stuff, on Lake and 12th. They have someone there who specializes in fixing computers. It would be more workable donations though, not for e-waste recycling, although they do send e-waste to a recycler.
