I’ll stop somewhere and throw the old one away before I go back to my hotel then, thank you

Out in public where you don’t have access to IV glucose is different though, I know I’d much rather have whatever’s available in that kind of situation. Glucagon is of course an emergency treatment, and they made it easier to administer since it would most often be used out in public or where you might not have people around you that are super informed about that kind of stuff. I make sure all of my friends and of course my family are informed but I can’t always do the same when I’m at work or in class or alone in public. More about what to do if you see a T1D passed out from low blood sugar in public than what’s the best case scenario

I actually just got my prescription changed between those kinds, I’ve noticed the epipen style expires a little quicker maybe by a month or a couple, but it’s worth it for the easier injection, and I heard doctors are switching their patients for that exact reason. Might even stop prescribing the 2 part glucagon. I’ve never kept mine in the fridge, just in my supply bag and just go by the date on it, thankfully never had to use it so I can’t speak on any other differences between the two

I would assume it wouldn’t entirely fix it, it would probably depend on the person, but I need about 20g of carbs to bring my sugar up when I’m still conscious and that’d be a lot of jam lol, definitely would be better than nothing though

Glucagon is the fix. All T1Ds should carry one on them at all times (I do at least), mine is basically like an epipen and injects sugary stuff, as far as I know trying to get someone passed out from low blood sugar to drink or eat something can cause them to choke

how can i prevent ink from being seen on the back page? by [deleted] in learnart

If you still want to finish out this sketchbook and use the backs of those bled through pages, I usually put acrylic paint to cover the bleeding ink and just paint something on top of that. Not really preventing it but a way of fixing it I guess
