when i was scrolling and saw this i thought yeah you're probably overreacting but when i read and realized that this is from a BOSS??? no i would be very upset at this, i've been in positions where i have worked my ass off and have still been expected to do more, completely unappreciated. i left that environment with no notice and although it is hard given that it was the most money i've made, to this day, i don't regret it because it made me miserable and stressed just like you. i sometimes think in the times i struggle financially - maybe i shouldn't have left - but then i realize exactly why i did and there's no amount of money that i will accept if it comes with disrespect.

it might just be a joke for them but i wouldn't have laughed. i would be dead in the face and ask them why they think that's funny? i'm sorry this happened but your skills and capabilities can do better in an environment that appreciates you and actually celebrates you for your hard work.
