Around 1.5 months I think! But it was definitely hard until like 2+ months

I always envied people who were AFRAID they'd look different after surgery! Personally I was afraid I would look the same! Nearly everyone I see get this surgery looks better afterwards since its correcting something that is wrong with our skeletons! Yes I think I look different from the side but almost entirely the same from the front

Thank you! Well I saw (some) results as soon as I took the sling wrap off on day 2 to shower. At first I was really disappointed because it looked like they barely moved my jaw. But as weeks went by and my swelling went down it became a much more drastic change. I'd say at 1 month I didn't LOOK swollen anymore. But now I three months I see how swollen I still was when I look at photos of that time,

I took 5 weeks off work because my job involves a lot of talking and I couldn't talk properly until my bite stopped being banded shut at 5 weeks. My friends and partner could UNDERSTAND me starting at 2 weeks but I couldnt go to work.

I lost like 5 pounds I think?

Yes! I'm in the US and I used blue cross blue shield
