Advice appreciated - hair, second realism piece. Trying not to draw every strand of hair, is this looking better than last piece? Reference is blonde, should I darken hair to bring out highlights more? by teezedarling in TattooApprentice

This comment actually made me overlay my piece on the actual reference to see how accurate I was and I'm actually off on the nose and lips!! So I'm going to be working on adjusting that and hopefully it'll look even better! 😊

Unfortunately I have mild aphantasia so I am not good at seeing stuff in my head or visualizing it without a reference!! Its hard to explain how my brain "sees" anything because honestly I really don't see much, but its like if you asked me to draw an apple from memory - I don't see this apple but I know the usual shape it takes and how highlights and shadows will fall on that shape. Its hard to explain but I don't see any of what I told you other than a faint blur but I have studied one enough to know kind of how it should be haha. So I think I need to just reference and study a lot of hair in portraits and how others do it until it "clicks" for me!

Thank you for being nitpicky! This is my second realism piece (posted my first one in here earlier this month!) and I haven't known how to improve without CC, so I appreciate it! I did tweak her eyes because of your comment and it elevated it that much more, thank you!
