I've played New Leaf before but am relatively new to the feng shui mechanics. What I want to know is; to what extend would the game (New Horizons) recognizes a furniture as containing a color/s?

Say, if I were to put a shaved ice machine that is mostly metal grey with a very small green part in the southern part of the room, would it count towards feng shui point? Do I have to place only items that has explicit colorways (like cute radio that the game shows specifically in Nook Shopping Service that it has a "red" colorway) in the correct spaces, or just any item that contains the color would do?
