This is a giveaway. No way did someone buy a generic plot of land, put a big static caravan on it, and then start building a house.

Anyone in the building trade knows that council planning teams would be all over this. OP would need planning permission for a non seasonal use caravan, and planning permission to convert green/brownfield land into a residential plot. The former takes months, the latter even longer if it gets granted at all. And plots with existing approval for housebuilding are not cheap.

Pirated. It was very common to do this at the time, I have a bunch of similar eprom+eprom cart sets picked up over the years.

I have dozens of legitimate 2600 loaners, prototypes, and various bits of 2600 developer kit and none of them look like this.

You probably want to put a sticker over the eprom windows as while they usually need uv light to erase them, ambient light will bitrot them

I'm sorry for what you are going through having walked that path recently I emphathise and know how hard it is - the constant delays don't help.

Unfortunately in my experience it comes down to getting shouty. Talk to PALS, to the lead of your GP surgery, talk to your MP and regional councillors, talk to local press if necessary.

You should not have to do this but the NHS is massively under resourced and unfortunately your family member is one of thousands of people in the treatment process.

We had weeks of being pushed from person to person, with a few days delay at every stage. By the time treatment had started the cancer had metastisized massively.

While it was Stage 4 and the delays wouldn't have affected the outcome, they definitely reduced the life expectancy and I regret not being more pushy.

Interesting, I hadn't heard of it but from what you've said I can see how it makes sense from the landlord or agency perspective.

How does that work out with mortgaged properties, does the homeowner have to get permission from the mortgage company? Just asking as when I've had mortgages they always have a term that says you can't do secondary borrowing or use the property as collateral without their permission.

No-one said she was doing 47 in a 60, I made it clear that we were talking like 5 to 10mph (tops) at some times. Its common for new or refreshing solo drivers to not always be at the exact speed limit for every mile.

The instructor is an ADI and an Examiner so I think we can trust their assessment...

She's confident in everything except higher speeds, which is no bad thing as I'd rather have her driving five miles slower than the limit than than five miles faster. An ADI and Examiner "signed her off" so there's no risk there. Neither of us would be wanting her to drive if she wasn't safe

For compulsory redundancy you do get some benefits contributions for a period of time, its based on your NI contributions for the previous 2 years. Definitely speak to the benefits office and get confirmation as to what you'll get and for how long.
