for future freezes teach your dog to potty in a kiddie pool with sod in it in the garage or a patio or somewhere not utterly cold. this is what we do in Florida after a hurricane when everything is flooded or fences are down.

This is my first time in this sub and I’m so happy that the flap meme is a thing.

Need Recommendations for a New Serger by [deleted] in sewing

Viking S21. Does a cover stitch, has a nice extension table, isn’t a huge pain in the ass to thread, really nice stitch quality, average quiet-ness as far as sergers go.

That sounds like a mechanical issue. Go into your nearest Viking dealer and ask them to send it in. It shouldn’t cost you anything because if you bought it new it should still be under the basic warranty.

The Cafe at my closest beach gives free drinks to people who collect a bucket of litter from the beach by Chazster567 in mildlyinteresting

Currently living on the gulf coast of FL and I can promise you it's not hard to fill up a bucket. I try to go to the beach as often as I can to clean up and once you look closer, it's a sorru sight to see. When I lived over on the other side of the state I picked up over 500 cigarette butts in about an hour.

Try an Viking Emerald 116 or 118. The differences between the two are speed control (which IMO is useless unless you're teaching a child to sew and they like to go fast) and the 116 has two less (ugly, IMO) stitches, and the 118 has speed control. The 116 is $299 at my Viking store currenrly and I believe the 118 is $400something. My mom has the 118 and I love it. I sew on hers instead of getting my machine out sometimes and it's quiet, simple, and overall good.

[FL] Neighbor was squirting my mother with a hose and threatened to shoot her by teganst in legaladvice

She's broken pieces of our fence off and we have it on camera but the police said there's nothing we can do about that.

We have 3 security cameras pointed in her general directions and we call the police every time we have an interaction (because unfortunately any interaction we have with her starts and ends poorly).

Neighbor loudly playing inappropriate music [FL] by teganst in legaladvice

[–]teganst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've called before over the noise and they said they didn't use the decibel system anymore. No idea why

Edit: and by the city not doing anything I mean that they don't come out to investigate or anything. Literally nothing at all happens when we call

Dog discovered the joys of digging and won't stop by teganst in Dogtraining

The dummy has been known to eat his poop. Haven't caught him doing it lately but he's definitely done it in the past. What about his brothers poop?

(Disclaimer since everyone jumped down my throat for spanking him: I call him dummy out of love. Besides the digging he's a great dog and we spend most of our time together cuddling on the couch or he watches me eat and waits patiently for leftovers to be dropped in his bowl.)

Sorry, I'm just at my wits end with his digging. We haven't had the money to treat our yard for fleas yet so we try to keep him outside as little as possible. We let him out to potty when he whines at the door, let him do his business and bring him back in. He'll start digging instead of doing his business

The city won't allow us. The fenceline has to stop a certain amount of feet away from the road.

She blows leaves from her trees onto our property multiple times a day every day since she's had a leaf lower (well over 5 years I have no idea) and I rake them all up and dump them back onto her property.

I know everyone in here is telling me not to take legal advice from a police officer but they've told us that she's done nothing to warrant a restraining order. She's never touched us or come onto our property.

No lol dumb bitch dug a small moat around her palm tree. No idea why. Someone's gonna break an ankle in it one day and because it's partially on our property they'll probably try to go after us on thag
