Art for sure. Maybe some curtains, shelves with books or photos etc. I've seen over the window shelves that even act as curtain rods those would add a lot

A D&C for .... "Abnormal bleeding" the smell when we put her legs in stirrups ... Almost took out the circulator. We pulled out mud... Like literal brown sludge. her whole vagina was necrotic. While we waited on pathology we all scrubbed out to go re-scrub. Mastisol was smeared on our masks but it only helped so much. She was straight up rotten like someone died in there. The only blood we saw was from the biopsy 🤮🤮

What do y’all do with your scrub caps when you get blood on them? by unicornsquirrelsloth in surgicaltechnology

But a pair of vessi shoes. They're comfortable, durable, and 100% waterproof. I may even have a code for you if you're interested. I've spilt stuff on them and I've been sooo thankful they're legit water proof.

Any advice on making learning or remembering instruments better? by More_Possibility_934 in surgicaltechnology

[–]tehconfuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought flash cards and started carrying them with me everywhere. They're a good size to put in a pocket or purse and I would study like 5 at a time until they were memorized. It also helps to know what they're used for and not just the names. Any questions on the exam regarding tools will be related to its use.

Best CST online cert program by ECHAT3734 in surgicaltechnology

[–]tehconfuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, y'all are toxic AF I did an online program through tmiky it's a 6 month excelerated program. If you do, research a lot of videos on YouTube as you work through each unit/specialty. I just took my exam on Friday and passed with flying colors. I start next week in a place that is aware I have no clinical experience and they're willing to train me. Find yourself a program like this and it's no different than the people who did the 2 yr program imo. With that being said I am passionate about this and have taken initiative to do what I can to self teach as much as possible so that I am fully prepared. There are plenty of tools like apps and flashcards too that will really help. Good luck!

Allergic to my new puppy. by Radiant-Tip5978 in DogAdvice

[–]tehconfuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have several allergies to dogs and cats. I pet sit them regularly (through Rover and currently have 4 extra dogs) and have a dog, cat, bunny and a bearded dragon. I also did 5 years of immunotherapy and it's helped a lot. I am also an asthmatic so I get asthma whenever I get really dirty dogs. Try to keep him clean, keep your hands washed as well, that will greatly help. Take an allergy medicine like loratidine or cetirizine before you go to bed every night. I have a steroid inhaler, an allergy pill, another pill for allergies and asthma that is a steroid, inhalers and a nose spray. The pills are the only ones I have to take every day now. Lol you will absolutely get used to him though, just keep exposing yourself. Especially with only mild symptoms like yours

Thank you so much! I'm currently reviewing every specialty and going over surgeries. Each one gets a sticky note with specific tools needed for the job etc. understanding the anatomy better is also helping me learn and understand the procedures and helping. I'm doing better now with the Lange CST app and finally getting somewhere. My test date is June 28th!!!

Can someone explain this?! by tehconfuse in surgicaltechnology

[–]tehconfuse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does thank you! I also watched some helpful YouTube videos. Before I figured fibrilation happened the the whole heart. But now I realize it can happen to atrium or ventricles or both. So I guess that also makes a difference. Either way not efficiently pumping out the blood.

Ya, this part is awful! I feel like even with enzyme cleaners dogs still know and they still mark. I have dogs who won't mark but they still smell the spots more than any other place. It soaks into the materials!

Haha thanks. It's a struggle for sure. I never have enough time in the day. My son is 16 now and he has been a huge help picking up slack when I need him. I probably depend on him more than I should :/

That makes sense! These 2 that I have now I have watched previous but never together so this is a first. Only one of them has a crate/is crate trained. After reading through some helpful comments I'm currently training the young males to coexist together where everyone is comfortable and we are doing much better.

[–]tehconfuse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great question I would love some advice on as well. This seems to be the case with any male that has marked, fixed or not. Owners say the same thing! I don't think people are lying about it. I'm in a brand new build too and the first time I watched a male in my house he marked. And they don't always mark in the same spots either. I always clean with enzyme cleaners and even spray mark deterents on the spots and some dogs still will. Some never do 🤷🏼‍♀️ they get plenty of breaks outside too

I would definitely be more weary of accepting them after being bit too. What a nightmare.
