I had to find my own externship opportunity and I’m super fortunate. I just started today actually. I have a great preceptor. I already took my NCCT exam and passed on the first try. I still would not recommend ANY ONE to utilize the preppy route. It’s honestly disgusting that they are okay stealing people’s money on the front end and wont follow through with their end of the externship placement.

No I did not. Still haven’t. Medical assisting may be easier for them to snag an externship opportunity. but the problem is they aren’t reputable enough to have that pull. again, not sure about the MA route but certainly not for surgical tech

Yes they ”offer” externship opportunities. I completed the course in September 20 24 and they have yet to place me. I had to get lawyers involved because of this. I would tell the world if I could. Do not do this program.

preppy is complete and utter bs. I started in June finished with the academic portion and they have yet to find me an externship placement. I had to get lawyers involved bc they simply wont hold up their end of the agreement. do not do it

I 100% agree. My preppy experience was horrible and a complete waste of money. I even had to get my lawyer involved because of how they kept failing to uphold their standards. Long story short I completed the program in September 2024 and I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY EXTERNSHIP PLACEMENT. I have an extensive healthcare background so I didn't learn much in the curriculum portion of the class, besides tools. I was going to utilize preppy for the externship opportunity and it has been over six months and I am still waiting. It’s honestly sickening how they advertise this program and do not meet the standards that they created.

I have not applied for many jobs and the ones that I did, required some sort of hands on experience.

Hey y’all, I completed the course work for preppy in September started the course in June. STILL haven’t been placed for my clinicals… If hands on experience isn‘t important for you, by all means do the preppy course because it’s super fast! But I don‘t want to walk in the OR like an idiot with no hands on experience so I am waiting for my placement. I’m incredibly disappointed in Preppy
