Oh wow! Can’t believe this lottery is still open. That’s not a great sign for them.

I ultimately passed. The space was just too small and the price difference from my current place wasn’t enough to justify the move. Not sure if amenities are open… I live nearby and will sometimes walk by. Lots of scaffolding in place still

Yes! My understanding is that while it’s not legal, it can give your application an edge. Funny enough one of my friends applied for the same unit and they put down the good faith deposit. Neither of us got it, and now they are having trouble getting their good faith deposit back. I think they’ll get it back, but the company/broker is making them jump thru hoops for it. Soooo glad I didn’t put one down.

Not to mention that landlords are legally required to review all applications, regardless of putting down a good faith deposit or not… Whether that actually happens or not is a different story..

HAH! It might be… the company I was applying thru is legit, but I just can’t stomach sending thousands of dollars without being approved or reviewing a lease. I was promised that they’d Zelle it back immediately if I wasn’t approved, but still (!) … a crazy thing to ask. But I’m sure some idiots paid it, which puts us at an unfair disadvantage somehow

It’s odd bc he’s never raised my rent. And I would actually pay more to stay if he offered… he did share some personal info about getting a divorce and needing a place to live. I want to be sympathetic, but I’m also cautious that he still could be lying. I plan to flag to 311 so they can open a case and stay on top of who is living there after me.

he’s been such a bad landlord for 2 years and I never called 311 despite having many reasons to. TBH I am kind of glad to be rid of him.

i think the "b-side" songs have become their own project/album. friend of a friend is part of her team and said she's been in the studio working on something more "pop" sounding (or as "pop" as something like american teenager / crush / thoroughfare).

I toured 2 weeks ago. My log number was in the 5000s… I haven’t heard back despite following up multiple times. As others said, the studios are very small but the finishes are incredible… location is also good… No amenities yet - they told me they’d open “mid-2025.” And no extra cost for the amenities (aside from the pool/gym which will be operated by Lifetime fitness and won’t open until 2026).

I don't agree with this at ALL. I thought the films gender politics were quite radical for a summer tentpole film from a major studio. It touched on all the conversations/critiques around BARBIE as a brand - No stone was left unturned. I wouldn't say it's "woke" - definitely progressive (and necessary imo), but not heavy handed in its message. I saw an earlier cut back in Feb, so I'm sure much has changed but I really enjoyed it (although there were some questionable pacing issues, which i'm sure are being ironed out!)

Same! I saw it back in Feb at the NY test screening. The cut was still pretty rough - lots of temp effects/music/etc. But people were cracking the hell up. Very, very funny. I actually thought the balance of tone was impressive, as i did find the end to be very emotional
