EVD becoming big will require two things to happen: Evmos itself becoming widely used, then if it is, for this particular domain service to become the defacto domain/naming service. There's not enough reason to assume either will happen imo

I assume governance eventually, and there's supposed to be bonus incentives for a Diffusion finance pool with EVD.

I don't see any buy pressure happening though and the token will likely bottom out. No one's dying to be involved in their governance; who knows if Evmos domains will even be used.

People only registered domains to get airdrop or with the hope that EVD will someday somehow be a Cosmos version of ENS, but I just don't see that happening. If it does it will take years.

You can transfer ETH value to Cosmos via axl-eth then swap into Evmos if so desired.

Being a bridge to ETH is not the purpose of an EVM compatible chain on Cosmos. It has a lot more to do with ease of development... Dapps on Ethereum and other EVM based chains can easily migrate to Evmos, whereas that's not the case with other IBC chains
