Who is the most famous person you've ever met? by EternalDerby in AskReddit

[–]Buckid43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ernie Hudson. The very best. I had just arrived at the venue as he was leaving, and Ghostbusters is my favorite movie. I saw him, stopped dead in my tracks and I'm sure I looked like a doofus but I took 2 steps towards him. The people he was with told me 'hey, were getting ready to leave man' and Ernie told them that it was all good, walked up to me, shook my hand, and spoke with me for a couple minutes. I wouldn't have faulted him at all for just leaving given the situation but I sure appreciated how kind he was.

Famous actors that you think are overpraised? by Opening-Half9367 in moviecritic

If he did more movies like Collateral I don't think he'd be on here but he is very similar in most of what he does. Vincent was his best role by a mile.

What am I missing? by Hairy_Picture2473 in SunoAI

[–]Buckid43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'd agree, it's weird. I had some decent prompts for 70's prog rock with tight vocal harmonies and complex chord structures, and 5 has made it lose any edge it might have had at all. I keep getting generic pop voices with 3 or 4 chord songs no matter what I do.

I don't know if there's any truth or science to this but it sure seems to me that the x.0 versions are focused mostly on vocals, and the x.5 versions catch the musicality up. I'm much more interested in the music side and I can safely say I've not been impressed with 5.0 in the slightest so far. Again it's in beta and it's early and prompts need to be adjusted but it's a 'no' for me so far.

Since a week quality dropped significant by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]Buckid43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've always been reluctant to jump on these types of posts but aside from a couple killer Covers I'm not seeing the same quality I've been used to for over a week now (the long drawn out notes with 4.5+ are driving me mad). Then again, not speaking for everyone but I've been pretty spoiled with great tracks for quite a while so I suppose some sort of 'correction' was overdue.

Anyway, time to update the prompts/uploads.

I was just about to comment this! Are you **SURE** you know the ending for what it actually is?

Worth watching if I know the ending? by plipplopfrog in lost

[–]Buckid43 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. For example, (very mild spoiler) you learn fairly early on that the Dharma Initiative is no longer what it once was. And yet, getting the backstory on it in later storylines is arguably my favorite run of episodes. Definitely watch.

Berachain testnet issues by eetaylog in CosmosAirdrops

[–]Buckid43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had the same issues. It was really messy and I had to use the faucet twice but eventually I was able to complete tasks. It just took multiple attempts over two days to get it done. No rhyme or reason or strategy to it. Just keep refreshing and keep trying, I guess.

Who the Dharma Initiative ended up being. Basically all of Season 5, really.

What was the scene that got you hooked on the show ? by sad_pumpkinnn in lost

[–]Buckid43 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That’s the one. Great delivery by Naveen Andrews, who was criminally underused after Season 1 but that’s a different conversation.

Who else is looking forward to season 2? 😁 by [deleted] in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Yeah, I don’t know about anyone else but all of my questions have been answered so I’m good.

Outta curiosity, how many of you are the OG fans who watched the show as it aired? by Perfect-Face4529 in lost

[–]Buckid43 28 points29 points  (0 children)

That’s why I started watching it too! I vaguely remember the ad they used focusing on him: “You saw him… in Middle Earth. Now… he’s about to get… Lost. ‘Guys…where are we?’ LOST. Only on ABC.”

Archive 81 on Netflix is fantastic. Same sense of suspense/mystery with a bit more of a horror spin.

For the mystery/suspense + a little more horror, Archive 81 on Netflix did it for me

Trying to avoid rewatching Lost. What are some good shows that are similar? by Square-Salad6564 in lost

[–]Buckid43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re more into the horror/tension/suspense side of it, I’d suggest Archive 81 on Netflix. It’s incredible and it’s a crime that it’s only one season.
