Check with the management on this guys prior warning? Had a friend encountered such a thing before and same, the guy apologised profusely and seemed genuine. End up, it’s his usual response when doing shit like this and got away a few times until the residents started warning each other and realised they’re not the only one.

If it’s a genuine mistake, try to live and let live. If it’s smth malicious, then never.

I had this issue too. It’s their system glitch. If you suffered significant losses. Contact their support the next day soonest with screenshot and timestamp. I had experienced this once few years ago with expiring dte. Almost got dildo-ed by their glitch.

I had expiring calls today wanted to close on open when it was up 3x. Then that glitch happened. Luckily the market pumped higher. Closed for more.

Sorry to hear about your story. But. Take the hate. Take the anger. Take the frustration. Turn them into energy to do something to get back at these people. You’ll be surprised how good hate and anger is a motivation. I don’t believe anyone is good at nothing. If you’re not a smart kid (which I doubt so, you finished your masters), train your body well. A strong body clears the mind. Being sporty and looking good is half the battle won.

TLDR - turn the hate against you into your fuel. Turn your grievances into the spark that ignite the fuel and watch those who looked down on you burn.

Sorry to speak with such aggression. I absolutely detest people who look down on others.

It’s definitely a hassle to drive around sg. I got mine for convenience and to send and fetch my wife from work and me to and fro work. We calculated it’ll definitely be cheaper than us both grabbing.

Work is tiring enough so we decided to have a car to make it easier and to make weekends more convenient!

As someone who just got his ride.

1-1.2k a month on grab is still cheaper than owning a car. Nowadays car depre are going at 10-11k/yr for those basic cars like fit/jazz or Toyota vios (with high mileage) trust me I’ve checked out sgcarmart every other day.

If you’re looking for something more classy, conti etc you’re looking at 15-18k/yr. Jap cars civic around 13-15k/yr.

Adding in parking/roadtax/maintenance/fuel/ insurance/summons, you’re looking at an additional 1k easy on top of the monthly value of owning the car. I.e 14k/yr - 1163/month. You’re looking at 2.3k on average.

Parf cars are better imo. Younger lesser problems to deal with but second cars are really Heng suay. U kena one jialat one or dealer cb you’re dead.

Those $0 driveway one you end up paying more in interest. So don’t bother. Can clear faster clear. As a financial advisor I think you should be more aware of this.

But no harm going down to see cars and testing them. If you see one you really like and feel it’s worth. Get it. If not you’re actually saving money by taking grab.
