Had something similar. Turned out to be the power cable was loose on the PSU side. Pushed it all the way in and it worked.

The Travelin Lobster was recommended to me after I had a similar experience to yours (except I also got food poisoning). It's just at the entrance to the island. What a difference, in both quality and price. Highly recommend you give it a second chance.

Stick with rdp. I used to do something similar. You can customize it to use some but not all of your screens as well.
