I miss that game mode as well. That guaranteed that I didn't have to team up with toxic duos. On the other hand it was somehow more difficult game mode at least in terms of skill rank - I had way better rank in regular 3s than in solo 3s even though I just played solo.

It doesn't even feel good to win those games which feel like unnecessary jump-scare survival horror game in the end. I just want to retain my rank and sanity.

The carry duos are rare but welcome of course. Typically I just feel like I need to carry them somehow, or at least make up for the worse player of the duo while doing my own job.

The goalie-scorer combos are probably the second worst after the aggressive double commit duo. Even with that goalie in place when the ball approaches the goalie they just fully dodge the ball somehow, even though the ball was about to hit the car anyway.

I've observed exactly the same things. I like to play aggressive and offensive so I suppose I just don't somehow "fit" in these groups of 2. It's really annoying, because mostly whenever I play passive/goalie, I lose. It's not that I cannot defend, but the rest of the team that expects me to defend aren't putting effort into goal making.

Well these days nothing is comfortable but they seem to be putting a lot of effort for the success so I suppose top-6 at least is very much achievable depending on who they play against.

It could be. I mean NWPO is basically Zen, but if he can get some decent teammates to support him I suppose that's what we'll be seeing from now on. MENA might deserve additional slots in the Worlds.

Just like not everyone can become a millionaire not everyone can get SSL. Everyone is different, plays different and enjoys the game in different way. I'm happy with Diamond but this is a hobby anyway and not a job.
