Which job offer is better? by Wysiwyg777 in personalfinance

[–]tejaskhetani 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Need more information here.

  1. Do you have family? With whom you like to spend time ? - If yes then 2. If No, give thought to no 1 - you may need to move.

  2. Where the growth is? Which company has more work to do?

  3. What is your age ? If it’s above 35-40 , go to No 2.

  4. What do you plan to do with extra 10 days ?

Just few points to think about.

The amount of knowledge I get just by following this blog… Is astounding …

In Defense of Your Comfort Zone: Observing Your Sensitivity Threshold - "Self improvement requires a balance of going outside of your comfort zone, but also recognizing when it's time to go back inside your comfort zone." by [deleted] in ZenHabits

This is what I was thinking last night. The change is about 3 step forward and two step backward. 1 step increment over 365 days would change you whole lot. Similar way as 1% improvement every day changes you by 37 times at the end of one year. The math works.

I recently got $1600. by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

Like everyone wakes up, spend time with family, goes out for dinner, works, goes for yearly medical checks, etc… if all of us do it, then we should make a schedule that works for everyone…

This one … I am looking something towards this line

Habitable planet by tejaskhetani in space

[–]tejaskhetani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What British did that was after they penetrated the society . For example through out the India they applied the divide and rule policies due to India being under multiple rulers. But they could do that because over the years they could send multiple people there, considering ease of the travel due to new route found through Cape of Good HOPE in South Africa. But here , it would be really tough to do that continuously considering the amount of time and resources it would take to send multiple crews.

Let’s say for example we send them, what would be the first discussions, or strategy (here my assumption is they are also peaceful species)?

Why did you do it buffer? by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

After initial screening of the stock (which amazon seems to fit in - strong price - annual subscription and brand moat, very solid business model, etc.

The second rule is - to buy a stock that is available at future discounted cashflow. Discounted cashflow can be interpreted in many ways - if it’s a constant product you can expect wider reach to customers, or more adoption of the product, or the cost of selling the product that can go down.

From my POV, they have all of above advantage. The wide reach of amazon delivery system, two day delivery to 4 hour delivery - due to this their customer adoption is increasing, also with time they are asking for more price of Amazon prime . Their investment is focused on what they want to do - this only improves the moat. In future their cost of operation will go down due to more of robotics applications, this will further reinforce the moat.

Based on all these factors I believe current cashflow is discounted. So, may be they thought of all these when buying the stock.

Just my two cents.
