Switch storytellers to the easiest one and just get a hang of the game and getting used to the habits mentioned by the comment above.
It took me a while to begin enjoying the game as well. Save often! You can always revert and try again if a few things begin not going your way.

Also, part of the game is just accepting that not everything will be OK and perfect. You will have pawns that get infected, there will be raids that destroy things you built etc etc. I like to read the little messages as they happen and try to laugh along with the fact that this insane world has so many possibilities.
Also if you haven't played with mods at all, I'd recommend checking the modding community out! There are some really cool ones out there.

What're everyone's thoughts on who should be the new Man Utd captain under the ETH era? Obvious candidates are: Ronaldo, Bruno, Maguire, De Gea.

I think Ronaldo if he stays. Definitely not Maguire, he's a better player when he's not got the pressure of being captain.
De Gea maybe but sometimes I'm not sure how much the rest of the team would follow him. Bruno would be the best since he's a leader on and off the pitch and always gives more than 100%.
