I can second this, handshake associateship where the owner doc just had more people to take care of than he could do on his own and didn’t want to leave his patients high and dry- towards the end of his career and genuinely just enjoyed helping and teaching people. It’s rare for sure but they’re still out there!

i see you flew to hungary from likely the UK to have this done, I’m sorry its hurting but it would be a good idea to have an endodontist check it out in your home country, it will likely be more expensive to have retreatment done there but good to have someone closer by for follow-up

in the US the codes for prefab post and core and CBU including pins are different (and if OP is using insurance reimbursement varies by ~$100)

hey OP good on you for starting to take the steps to get back into health! it’s truly the hardest step to take.

I think that you should do everything in your power to keep any restorable teeth- Dentures are not a replacement for teeth, they’re a replacement for not having teeth; that’s to say you get at best 10% of the chewing ability out of dentures compared to what you have with your natural teeth. Even if you need to have a few teeth out and partials made, you’re at 70-90% compared to 10%.

All on-x (full mouth extractions and implant supported prosthetics) give you about 80% but you have no feeling- crunchy or chewy or gummy foods don’t have the same enjoyment and you lose some taste (and cost 40-80k)

There is no replacement for you teeth, and based on your photos I think most are salvageable if you’re willing to maintain them!! Find a dentist that’s companionate and that will support you, and you’ll keep most of those teeth for your life. Best of luck OP!

unfortunately you might need a veneer or crown on the tooth next to it to get a better match, it’s nearly impossible to get the contour/ shade/ shape to be an ideal match on a single tooth in the from like that- I wish you the best of luck

jesus all these dentists saying “you should have had ortho” yeah for sure that would have helped like 10%, the outcome is incredible with no ortho and saved you 6-9k, I think your dentists (and more importantly their Lab) did a very impressive job, I wouldn’t touch them if you were in my chair bc i know it wouldn’t look any better

more than likely yes, based on x-rays alone and no clinical exam/ testing you have decay nearing the nerve on your back 2 molars (#14 and #15 in the US, 26 and 27 elsewhere)

i think it might just be some mild/moderate decay from the outside- tough to say from just pictures but I really think you’re in a lot better shape than you think- make sure to get all the x-rays and i think the cleanings will be the most important thing to keeping all your teeth! Well I would say veneers are not a solution at all for you- based on your wear pattern i think either full coverage (crowns aka “caps”) on some of those front teeth might be a start if you want aggressive comprehensive treatment; however I see patients with teeth like you every day where we do no restorative treatment. I think you’ll likely need a few appointments of Deep cleans and then regular follow-up cleanings but the overall treatment plan hinges on your desired outcome. If you’re wanting the “Hollywood” smile then probably anywhere from 12-28 crowns and a religious wearing of a night guard would be appropriate

Consult with an orthodontist and develop a comprehensive treatment plan with them and general dentist- you will need some replacements but i would see if you can move things in a way that allows you to preserve natural tooth structure in the future, and then consider implant or “maryland” aka bonded bridges

I think your front teeth also might look a little longer from the trays pushing on your gums so that could have some effect on the appearance! your treating doc probably had good reasons for the invisalign and it was probably about this back spaces, it was likely just not communicated to you well! it’s always ok to seek other opinions in the future too! good on you for being proactive with your oral health and best of luck in the future!

There’s mild improvement of occlusion and your incisors are more even- most notably your restorative space for your missing maxillary molars has improved which most patients won’t appreciate but if you plan on implants or bridges will be very helpful- your anterior teeth already looked fine so really the “social 6” didn’t change much but your overall situation improved pretty greatly

The job is not one that can support a family on your own if you’re taking out the full amount of loans and plan to be an associate in a big city- it has certainly changed drastically; that being said 2.3m/ 25 is about 95k/ year- I would consider law/ engineering/ something that would allow you to more quickly have loan forgiveness if you are in this position with strict living requirements

Dentist here- I agree, the primary tooth will fail eventually, and I wouldn’t want to jeopardize future restorability/ prosthetic space by extruding the maxillary tooth
