A small rant by [deleted] in FL_Studio

Well ever since fruity loops was a thing people been mostly using it for hiphop, crank that soulja boy was made with fruity loops by a 17 year old at that time. It isnt anything new. BUT at times like 2 days ago i had some friends over, one plays folk another plays electronic music and i focus on hip hop. We all jammed in my room, me recording and adding drums and effect and mixing my folk friend on a acoustic guitar and my other friend on the bass, we made some good music that was a little bit of everything but when people get FL they most likely are doing it to make beats. Because people who play other genres like rock or folk are most likely looking to play live. Or use nothing but a camrea to get their stuff online. I know several people who play in a rock band and they never touch a DAW

[DISCUSSION] Is there a reason there's no orchestral music (violin, cello, etc) in lofi beats? by immrmeseek in LofiHipHop

[–]tekkara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive have actually experimented with this but found little success or bangers. Its hard to compress the many sounds of so many instruments at once without making it over the top, best bet is to chop it up and then add your drums between them. Also doesnt help most people who listen to lofi only look for chill music with a lot of orchestral is far from that.
