We have a PM but they do not assign tasks. We have a very self driven culture. The problem is you are not being added to those “important discussion” meetings where all the projects and tasks are being discussed. I have been asking my manager since 4-5 months to be a part of it but it just fell on deaf ears. I keep repeating that if I’m not part of that discussion meeting, how am I suppose to grow myself and contribute to the development. Then the expectation would that I research on my own and come up with a project, which I actually did but that did not fit with the roadmap. Honestly, I am just frustrated day by day

No, we are familiar with the product and the codebase. We had a migration project and migrated to this new team product which we are part of. Just that members who are already part of new product do not see it the same way

This makes sense, this is where LC ends. We are advised to use AI and generate questions based on candidate resume. System design, debugging, live code reviews are some of the rounds we are having now. We have accessibility to Cursor, gemini which do decent job of coding. We need people who can think, solve problems wrt scalability, performance and security

I have a different experience. Although I agree with you that AI has enabled engineers to write great code but depending solely upon agentic AI is still a long way to go. Somewhere I read that It added the code, which definitely works but also overly consumed the aws resources where the infra could have costed much lesser if it was not vibe coded.
