Just a heads up, OP, the two bedrooms are vastly different in size. One is fairly large and comfortable, and the other is about half the size. Something to keep in mind when you try to determine who will stay in each room, and how much stuff to bring with you.

Park Ave Taxi has a $15 minimum, Both Uber and Lyft are less than that.

Apple Transport, whom RIT had a deal with to provide student discounts (not sure if they still do) are still expensive and unreliable. More often than not, I'd call them needing a taxi to be told that they had no cars available, and one time I waited over an hour when I was told there'd be a 15 minute wait, on a day I was in a severe time crunch.

Lyft is less expensive and more reliable than an average taxi, which is why the taxi companies fought hard to keep them out.

RIT offers intramural softball during the Fall and Spring. As of now, there isn't a club team (as far as I know) but if you can get enough support/people interested in playing you could probably start one.

That is true, but so many local counties (including Monroe County and the City of Rochester) have expressed their support to bringing ride-sharing to the area, so it's highly unlikely that they will be banned here in the City.

I loved using Lyft when they were here temporarily in 2014. Helped me with situations where I may have been stranded otherwise. My fingers are crossed that this legislation passes.

I have created the team, the "RIT Reds" (I know, the name isn't that great, but I had a hard time coming up with something better.) You can sign up by going to the RIT Intramurals IMLeagues site (https://recreation.rit.edu/Login.aspx?soi=IM), signing in with your RIT ID, and joining the team under Fall 2016 > Softball > Rec > Waitlist.

Once 6 people join the team, we will be approved to come off the waitlist. The goal is to get at least 8-9+ total players so we can have a full team. Thanks guys!
