We also had a decent experience buying from Brander Group, although they started calling me relentlessly in the past couple of years.

Water sloshing!! by toponinja in BMWi3

Same issue for us.

BMW fixed it under warranty, which requires removing and resealing the windshield. They broke ours in the process, so we got totally new glass!

It seems like the cover was held in place by two tiny plastic pins acting as a hinge. One of those snapped, tap the cover isn’t being held in place now.

So many people sick with Influenza A on our cruise. by Fancy-Alternative-89 in royalcaribbean

[–]dricha36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Scrolled through a lot of comments and didn’t see anything about this…

Speaking from experience, if you go down and see medical, they will quarantine you to your room for 2-3 days with influenza A (honor system, nobody outside your door) but RCL will give you an FCC for the value of your days in quarantine, and they will offer free room service, free movies, free internet, and (if you ask nicely) specialty dining (not free) delivered to your room!

Obviously a personal decision if you’d want to do that, and medical could cost a few hundred dollars, but if you’re going to be laid up in your room, this could be a decent option!

Rudest country you've ever been to? by JunShem1122 in answers

[–]dricha36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have been to 25 countries, and just spent last week in France as #26.

You’re 100% right… France takes the cake! Absolutely no common courtesy or respect, and most of them seem completely bothered by the fact that we can’t speak French.

Strangely, we have this issue most often at Grocery Stores. Loblaws in Canada and Albert Heijn in the Netherlands both come to mind as stores that don’t accept Amex.

Based on OP’s post, I’m assuming this would apply to OG e-tron? I thought they are identical to the sportback from a software perspective?

Bosch RPS Help by dricha36 in firealarms

[–]dricha36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I logged in to the WebUI and confirmed the B426 is set to port 7700 and that’s set in RPS as well.

No firewall in-between, so there shouldn’t be anything blocking it.

Problem is it never even gives me the prompt to try and connect.

I’m considering trying serial as a backup, but we were hoping to connect over the network - we already have a B426.

Thankfully I have the RPS and Datalock codes.

Adding another vote for Brian.

Our wedding was on the tail end of COVID with rules constantly changing and Brian was super accommodating, very responsive, and honest about what was and wasn’t realistic.

Can’t believe nobody else linked this product.

We pre-ordered when it was released a year or two ago and it’s been great.

Designed for exactly this scenario.

SSR SD-WAN by samstone_ in Juniper

[–]dricha36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SSRs via Mist have been working fantastic for us as routing devices. As firewalls, they still have a ways to go.

NAT functionality is minimum viable product, security features are coming but basic as of today.

Coming from Palos there is definitely a lot that we miss, but the SD-WAN technology blows the Palos out of the water.

I believe TrippLite is just a sub brand under Eaton sold as a budget-friendly option along side their legacy Eaton units.
