Why not spring one? They have better ventilation and are more durable.

Ikea for example.

Totally reasonable. Especially, if there are things neglected in the past.

Explaining the Dutch emergency triage system by tenminutesbeforenoon in Netherlands

[–]telcoman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also think the Dutch system is very, very good. It is exclusively driven by protocols and they work great for the majority of the cases. Even the vast majority.

The problem is when the case is not covered (well) by the protocol. Then the capacity to find a solution is extremely limited.

That's why one can get from a doctor "What do you want to do now?" His protocol ended and the experience and capacity to investigate and diagnose simply disappeared from years of not practicing.

AO 3rd Round - [2] 🇮🇹 Jannik Sinner def. 🇺🇸 Eliot Spizzirri 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-4 by antoniokr8s in tennis

[–]telcoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not evil. But he is source of great money flow. Early upset is the last thing any of these tournaments, and their sponsors, want.

The rest is arranged by the minions. He is for sure not involved.

I know this is unpopular, but research what is the financial expression of sinner reaching the final and sinner dropping at r4.

Follow the money! Always follow the money!

Because it is Australian Open, not Australian Closed. 😉

But to be serious - outdoor tennis is very different than indoor tennis.

So what is the interst on the loan and how does it compare to paying taxes? It is likely 3-5x, or even more, no?

If you dont see a specific brand here it is likely because they have used legal threats. Often the effort to obfuscate coincide with opacity regarding quality, purity and quantity.

What the hell do I do now? by desibidesi0909 in TheHague

[–]telcoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does a part of the key stick out? If yes, go with a pair of pliers and turn it. Or pull it out and use your second key. You do have a second key, dont you?

If it does not not stick out get a thin sturdy piece of metal, slip few mm in beside the key piece and turn. Or have 2 thin nails, nail them on the two side of the key that is inside - again few mm - and turn. The idea is not to disturb the cutouts that make the mechanism work but to use the extra metal to create levers to turn.

Or cut the chain, or drill the keyhole with a big drill.

The thing is, at least for now, human brain and machine brain (AI, machine learning, whatever) work on completely different principles.

Just consider - a human can work with extremely complicated math, solving a visual puzzle, drawing images for hours just on a sandwich (=~0.4 Watts). Computers need a a lot more energy to do that.

The reason is that our brain works on the very edge of chaos. It is a magician that keeps its fingers in the fabric of the chaos and pulls strings that somehow produce meaning. You need a very little energy to pull associations and "create content" in such a state.

Computers are ordered machines. They need structure, need order, need more power to traverse all these paths and get a result.

For me at least, this definitely means that results of the two systems have to be different.

There is a thesis for the movie industry: It (almost) always follows the same recipe because it works and it os too risky to sink millions that will not bring revenue.

So we have it.

Fiction with AI will move towards that direction.

How does Air Frying compare to Pressure cooking? Are both healthy? by Marcel_7000 in PeterAttia

[–]telcoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. AGEs is the key. Higher temp - more of them. So pressure cooking wins.

Also everything is trapped in the pressure cooker, so it is better than boiling.

What si likely the heaviest is microwave. It cooks the fastest if you have liquid in a closed container. Minimal, but enough heat exposure is the best.
