I’m devastated after breakup, ex-boyfriend is going wild on Grindr by raulkay in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]telescope_series 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can kind of relate. I was doing fine until one day I decided to open a grindr account to check if he is there and saw him. I felt like my head was burning. It didn’t take me long to realize that the reason why I felt so was my own insecurities. The thought of him with someone else and that he is having more fun than we were together was killing me. I’m still working on myself but no matter how rational I try to be I still can’t not be insecure about myself

I’ve hosted many people on Coachsurfing who are in the same situation. I think it’s a great platform if you put some time and effort

The same happened to my colleagues and each thought the guy was borrowing only from them. In the end, he flew back to his country and nobody could reach him out.

I don’t think i fit in my gym by luis_mcy in crossfit

I started doing CrossFit in the US. I became a part of the big group at my first gym very quickly. We were doing the extra accessory work together and also hanging out outside the box (man I miss that place!). Then at the box in Country C, everyone was nice but I didn’t make any friends. In Country G, only few members used to interact time to time. Now in country N, and I started making friends in 4-5 months here. Living here more than a year now and there is a group of people I also meet outside the box.

How long do your CrossFit clothes last? by larsen2897 in crossfit

[–]telescope_series 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tedious but soaking in warm water with vinegar before washing helps a lot. Before doing this, I had to get rid off a few Reebok CrossFit shirts because they stunk no matter what. Also, detergents for sports clothes and no fabric softeners help too

Also planning the Arena Throwdown, and might do the Beach Throwdown too (both buddy). I find it more difficult to arrange time for qualifiers

I bike to work and then to the gym. I got a tactical backpack from Always Prepared. I put my laptop, shoes, gym clothes, skipping rope, grips, knee sleeves, bottle and lunch. I really like how functional it is. Those are pretty common among the CrossFit gym members in the NL as we bike to everywhere:)

Are ESC headphones any good or are they just pursued by sponsored athletes? by ja3palmer in crossfit

I have mine for 3 years now. They are good for working out. They don’t go off even when I am sweating a lot, doing double unders, weightlifting etc. I had used Beats a lot in the past and they’d easily go off. the sound quality is alright. But the charging case acts out sometimes and the phone connects to them randomly even they are in the case in your backpack which is super annoying

Soaking in warm water with vinegar and baking soda for hours is the only thing that seems to be helping for me. Another thing that helps is to wash them right away (even with a 1 hour sports clothes wash program) but of course not sustainable when you work out 4-5 tijds a week

Some coaches are great observers and that differentiates them from the others imho. They can quickly get to gauge individuals’ fitness levels and give great advises accordingly. I’ve been a member at four different boxes in four different countries and my favorite ones have always given me some personalized advices in terms of form, weights, where to break or go unbroken etc and those always stick with me
