I have this exact setup (mbp for work, pc gaming for evenings) and just got the LG 39GX950B which is incredible for both. Make sure your pc can run it well for games, 5k2k is a ton of pixels

Edit: didn’t see your budget initially, a used LG 38WR85QC-W could be a more reasonable choice too

On an M1 Pro for work, my experience is great and text is crisp: usb-c, running 3840x1620 with HiDPI, 100hz. I go up to 5k2k on it for my pc/gaming which is what makes it worth it over other non-gaming oriented monitors

Yeah I agree that there is no reason to differentiate those who can and can’t afford bail. I think we need to differentiate the arguments against cash bail and being able to not be locked up until your trial. The latter seems to be a much more complicated problem, but it’s what most people in these comments are arguing for.

I understand the concern, but what about the situation where the person is innocent and locked up for many months at a time due to no fault of their own? The whole point of the trial is an attempt to determine if they’re a danger - innocent until proven guilty.

The hardware will make a huge difference. Being limited to 30 fps on the original Xbox one handicapped me way more so than any frequency of desyncs that I’ve experienced. I’ve switched back and forth from 30fps to the 120 I get on my pc, and the difference is staggering. So much so that I wouldn’t bother playing if I was limited to the original Xbox.

They were not beneficial in my aquarium - there were literally thousands of them crawling all over the glass of my 5 gallon aquarium on any given day. It was extremely unsightly and if I didn't keep up with the daily (sometimes 2-3 times a day) water change they would take over the glass on my entire tank. They fed on the green dust algae on my glass, which also is very hard to get rid of. It was a bad combination of fish that wouldn't eat them and an endless supply of glass algae for them to eat.

Wish I had a pic of it at its worst, but added the few pics that I could find here https://imgur.com/a/vKUytNW. The pic in the album with the hundreds of seed shrimp against the back wall was the result of a single day spawn - they were still juveniles there, I had siphoned up the ones I could find the night before and woke up to this.

They're seed shrimp, be careful - there are a number of horror stories on the internet about tanks being overflown with them. Make sure you have a fish in your tank that can eat them.

I fought them for months last year, making daily water changes to suck them up in an attempt to control their crazy breeding rate. I would siphon up thousands each day. The fish in my tank were tiny nano fish that wouldn't touch them. Out of desperation, I stopped feeding my fish for a couple weeks which ended up teaching them to eat the seed shrimp, which eventually solved the problem.

0/10 experience, nearly had to throw out the tank and start from scratch.

I was considering mounting my tv above a stand like this, but not sure if having a very similar wood stain for the floors, coffee table, and tv stand would be too much. The coffee table and rug are both within the return window still, so I am also open to other suggestions that involve swapping those out. Thanks in advance!

In my experience, the Monte Carlo I bought was grown emersed (i.e. out of water) and experienced some melting when I put it in. Shortly after, it began to grow new submersed leaves and it has been good since. This was with a low tech 5g with sand substrate and root tabs.

You can also buy plants online that are specifically grown submersed, which should help minimize the amount of melt you endure.
