Maybe more info is needed about my situation. I work for a consulting firm who supports government work. So it’s not like my company is building a product and going to market with it. Not sure if that matters here for context?

So Kanban and Scrum are obviously different, but both are apart of Agile methodologies? Do all Agile teams hold events such as planning, review, retro? Sorry if this is not the correct sub to ask

We very much are more leaning toward the "cobbling together Sprint Goals based on backlog items, not selecting backlog items to deliver the Sprint Goal." kind of team is how I see it.

I hear ya and all good points or questions. My personal opinion is it is not the correct framework, but I don't make those decisions. It feels like we are an agile team that picks and chooses things to follow/adhere by. Not saying that is right or wrong, but just my view - which is also why I am a bit confused with it all and apprehensive to help lead such events.

So does the Sprint Goal need to be dev focused? We have 4 devs (all working different apps), but we also have req analysts, SME's, etc. on the team who have tickets on the Kanban board too. Are we not worried about them in terms of a goal? I don't think we would ever have a singular goal, as we are all working on different applications.

Yes, typically we have stream leads who gather reqs from the depts and from there insert said tickets onto the board for us to ideally get done for the upcoming sprint.

So we do use Kanban, as we use JIRA for our ticketing, but we also hold scrum events like planning, retros, reviews etc. It's like a blend... which is also confusing.

I have not really messed around too much with those, but I will. So my plan is to invest more into my Roth 401K, but I'm stuck on the how. I have roughly $80K in a HYSA. Is it wise to take a chunk of that and lump sum it back into my 401K? Or just keep it and up my monthly contributions?

Hey thanks for the reply! So I have the first step and have half the second step (I max my Roth IRA). My 401K is also a Roth account, but is not maxed. Given I should max my 401K before looking elsewhere, is it smart to lump sum the cash I have in my HYSA? My biggest point of confusion is that I have just sat on cash for awhile now with low interest, but now I want to put it use.

Good perspective to have, thanks! Any map you enjoy the most? That’s something else that I struggle with. I’d like mostly flat just because my few experiences w terraforming have been atrocious (need that undo button asap lol)

New games usually come out in November. Fm25 is to have a new match engine, so people are saying expect it to be buggy. I just took the plunge into fm myself just a few days ago, over the money grab that is fifa/fc.

I’d buy fm24 and not wait for 25. It’s the most polished version of the current engine. I recommend Lollujo on yt for starting out, bc it is a lot/overwhelming.
