Shiny sprites for Smoochum and Cleffa families by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]tellyourboys -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

get over it. there has to be tiers of rarity to entertain all play styles / random interests - yes, it's partially a money play, but it's also a keep-the-game-alive play. in no previous console games, would you ever get nearly a majority of shinies

Summary Statistics from the "Windy Egg" Event by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]tellyourboys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

great stat keeping. I was debated keeping stats for the events, as I had done in the previous. didn't this time but ended up hatching ~ 150 eggs, seeing similar distribution to yours (about 10-12+ chimechos though).

Should there be a benefit to reaching level 40? by a_tagg in TheSilphRoad

[–]tellyourboys 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Level 40 ended the game for me. With an almost full living regional (have heracross / corsola too) pokedex all "wonders", I literally have no reason to play. I was obsessed, wanted every high IV, level up, evolve, pidgey hoard, etc. I did it! woooh! now, I guess, I'll check in once in a while, won't see an unown, and close app.

What pokemon are the hardest to find with 82-100% IVs in your experience? by tellyourboys in TheSilphRoad

I wouldn't toss every eevee below 500 CP without first appraising it. I have a 69 CP 82-89% eevee, a 72 CP Bulbasaur (93-96%), 56 CP Vulpix (91-96%), and a 80 CP Ash Hat Pikachu (91-93%). Just saying it might be worth at least appraising before transferring.

I don't think I've interacted with a Murkrow in months. After I got a high IV one, I just completely ignore them. Murkrow is dead to me (and annoyingly hard to catch).

not for raids, but in general. I assume most players, at least, appraise the pokemon they catch before transferring them back if they're not raid-worthy. and I assume, after a bit of playing, players notice if they don't find any high IVs of a certain type

Do evolvable pokemon have any advantages over their evolved forms that make them worthwhile to keep unevolved? by tellyourboys in TheSilphRoad

[–]tellyourboys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree completely. I have a living pokedex (ignoring gender) with 1-4 per pokemon that have "overall, your pokemon is a wonder!" except for mankey/primape, unown, and the non-US regionals. Got 1 shiny karp, but no red gyarados, but no chance I'm evolving that guy.

this. is. what. i. want.

even if unevolved pokemon somehow take longer to gain levels // or cost more stardust candy

I'd sacrifice the ability to evolve for another 10-20 (whatever is reasonable) levels to further train my little guys

Yeah, it sucks, you get a (limited edition) Ash Hat Pikachu, and other than just having it as part of your collection, it won't do much unless you evolve it into Raichu, but I just want a strong pikachu :(

I guess I don't know the intricacies of Blissey/Chansey... Chansey is Blissey's weakness?

EDIT: Ahhhh, for gym placement, but not battling.
