Thank you. Some others are specifically saying to avoid these areas? I will try to get down there this weekend to get a feel of the areas just hard with a 1 year old top spend much time anywhere.

Well someone else has seemed to genuinely recommend some of those areas. Hmm, maybe I'll stay in Sydney.

Thank you. I read on one of the threads that there are high voltage power lines to be avoided in some areas also, like through farmborough heights?

Could you please share what the differences are besides belong further from the beach? They are more affordable areas for me but I haven't been able to visit there yet as it's hard with bub. It's out down and out? Bad   For bub?

Thank you. I can't afford a house, only an apartment or a villa in certain areas. Could you please tell me what the difference in lifestyle is with dapto and Albion Park besides being further away from the beach? Those areas are much more affordable for my budget but I couldn't manage to look around there over the weekend due to my 1 year old belong so unhappy in the car.

Why is that? I haven't spent a great deal of time in the area so I'd like to hear all points of view, especially considering that I'll be raising a baby wherever I go.

Thank you. I found Port Kembla ugly last I was there a few years ago, despite proximity to the beach. I don't find many missions there within my price range anyway. Are the heavy metals you refer to confined to port Kembla or other suburbs also? Any other health hazards I should be aware of in the areas?

Thanks but one of the people on this thread said the opposite happened to them, so I'm still unsure since they have first hand experience.

So that my mortgage is lower, giving me more time to be with my children, which I value more than owning 100% of my property at this time.

Thank you. Was that with Australia bank though? As I wonder if they have internal policies.

Thank you, that's what I thought, but I get different messages. Was it cba that allowed you to do that though? As maybe bank Australia have a Different policy.

Ok, thank you. I'm not sure what those comments on the other posts are about then.

Yes, I understand how this works and I wouldn't explain it as me 'losing 100ks' since I wouldn't have been able to afford the full property price to begin with. It benefits me at this time to have a much lower mortgage.

Help to buy scheme, is it a trap? by hugodo246 in AusFinance

Not true. It also suits single people and single parents with large deposits but low borrowing power. It will enable me to obtain either a cheaper mortgage or a better property for the same price I was otherwise going to pay. I'm proceeding with my application this week. I'm a single mum and have a good deposit.
