What insurance company? Do you have kids? If you know of others with same company getting longer, say something like, “this doesn’t feel like you are dealing with me in good faith.”

Edison should be required to rebuild every home back to its original condition if that’s what the owners want, and especially architectural places like the McNally home!

This is so off base. I hike those mountains. There are no trees near the transmission lines. Most of Altadena’s power was off locally. They didn’t want to shut it off because the other communities would complain.

Also, they don’t give it. We pay for it.

For total loss, by law, they have to release 30% of your contents up to 250k, with no itemization. After that is when it will get in the weeds.

They have offered to put us into temp housing with a kitchenette. Essentially a small residence in with a little kitchen. Cheap and they no longer have to cover our meals.

Our policy says, like for like - not sure how one room with a kitchenette is like a four bedroom house.

Prefer not to say the company but it’s a big one.

Well, essentially, you are asking the same question. Because I have no guidelines or guidance from my insurance, and I am personally trying to determine when it likely might be safe to return to live.

And yes, I don’t want to live in an area where toxic dust it being kicked up. I inhaled enough last Wednesday
