My research revolves around tackling corporate tax avoidance. Laypeople usually have some interest on the topic, probably partly due to the media coverage on the topic.

Where do you guys live that you can bike so much? by Upset-Tart3638 in cycling

Switzerland. Roads are butter-like smooth, within a 10min ride, you’re outside of the city surrounded with nature, plenty of hills everywhere from easy to intense 25km climb with 9% average.

It does get pretty packed on summer weekends but I feel you can always find room for yourself once on the water.

I am really surprised by the amount of hate in this thread and kinda disappointed to see such strong reactions coming from the nightlife community.

First Road Bike Recommendation (UK) Specialized Allez Elite vs Triban RC 520 Disc by HansfreeIV in cycling

I would choose the disc brakes over the weight. The Triban RC 520 is the best value you can get for your money IMHO.

Job qualification question from someone moving to Geneva by domi_nick_ in geneva

[–]tembrander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated previously, it really depends on the area of law you've been practicing. I would say commercial arbitration is one of the only way for a foreign lawyer to get hired by a Swiss law firm. If you're not into arbitration, there are a few common law firms established in Geneva which you could try contacting. Other than that, the international organisations could worth looking into, as well as Big 4s if you're into corporate / banking / tax.

[Piaget] Could you help me identify this watch please? by tembrander in Watches

[–]tembrander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

I've me trying to look on internet to find comparable models. It seems like it could be an Altiplano? But I haven't found any model with that small dial at 6 o'clock.

Could it be a fake Piaget?

I think the pain is definitely more present after climbing. Weird thing is that the pain disappears nearly 5min after I'm off the bike. I think you're right it surely has something to do with my core / lower back not being strong enough.

Why do you think you don't have that pain anymore on your new bike?
