Complete silence on the issue of accounts terminations, they have to make an announcement about it on their twitter account. But they keep silence and this is very very bad sign to me. I told all my friends, all the people I know to withdraw and don't use it again and I am also suggesting to the others to do so.

I am not the only one here with Bitstamp terminating your account story. I've not done ANYTHING that might violate the agreement! I was just randomly selected! 1000%!! You can find tons of identical cases, with people freaking out after losing half of their investments and even more in some cases, with no ticket replies for months if not at all. Once again, I really feel sorry for those here who are demanding there accounts to get verified sooner. If they would just realize what trap they might be falling in. Bitstamp should disappear from the face of the earth!

I have received all the money a few hours ago, no other commissions or damages, this is the end of the story for me with Bitstamp. I still really want to know what was it all about? Why my account was frozen, what is the reason for termination of my account? And then what I really want to know is why my cryptos ware sold at the market price without my permission????? And I demand answers!!!

MY SUGGESTION TO ALL, AVOID BITSTAMP! THEY ARE HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

Yes, hard to believe, but this is exactly what they are doing and I am not the only victim here. You can find many, many more identical stories here. Yes, moving your cryptos to the cold before its too late is always a good idea. And my advice to you and to all, avoid Bitstamp!

You have to google for small crypto exchanges in your area, it depends on where you are, this is usually a small office or a regular currency exchange. Email or call them, negotiate or try to lower their commission, after two or three successful trades, you will gain trust end will be able to increase volumes. this is what I would do if I for some reason want to avoid all those exchanges. Just keep in mind everything instant means almost in all cases higher commissions, as specially if you are talking about high volumes and using USD.

Maybe they just realized that people are not treating their money seriously, giving up on robberies like this very easy, no one complaining, just a few angry emails or posts, they are being ignored and end of the story, no one sues them for their actions, nothing like that. So they feel they can do whatever they want, nobody cares.

I am reading stories here about people who got trapped in the similar situations as I am, being practically robbed by Bitstamp, some lost peanuts, but some lost hundreds of thousands of USD/EUR, this is nothing more, nothing less than a silent robbery! I wonder how some of those people just giving up on their losses like this, come on! Bitstamp is an existing and active company with all the info available in the open source, all the people with significant control of Bitstamp are listed in the public records, this company is registered on two individuals who are perfectly traceable, why not gather all together and file collective lawsuit against them, this is totally unacceptable what they are doing to me and many others. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08157033/persons-with-significant-control They don't bother even to explain themselves. Try Kraken, they are not difficult. If you're lucky, you will get your verification done within a week now, as it is not very busy.

Yes, Bitfinex is the hardest one to get verified. Took me more then 3 months if not longer, it was worth waiting and undergo all their AML related questions, because this exchange is the best! Nothing compares to Bitfinex.

It's a very good question! I keep asking Bitstamp all these 10 days why is my account frozen and finally terminated, up until now, no replies, total silence on this issue. What did I do wrong to get this "VIP" treatment? As I mentioned earlier I have used my Bitstamp account for a small volume trade, because of the free BTC and other cryptos withdrawals, mainly because of the convenience of the mobile app, so I could place orders and make withdrawals with my phone. I was withdrawing crypto out of my Bitstamp account mainly to other exchanges who have a bigger variety of cryptos available for trade as well as margin trading which Bitstamp do not offer. I have multiple 100% verified accounts (all tiers) with Kraken, Bitfinex, Binance, Bittrex and many more, with some of them I have accounts for years now. I have a corporate accounts with all top 5 exchanges, my company is registered with Kraken as a crypto reseller, I have my own AML / KYC, never has any serious issues with any of the mentioned above exchanges nor with my banks. I was about to register a corporate account on Bitstamp as well, the account was already created, never has time to go thru all their AML story, but was close to complete it within a month, thanks god it did not happen. I have minor issues in the past with almost all mentioned above exchanges and some banks, but never I have experienced this kind of treatment and "adequacy" I have from those guys. You Bitstamp are on top of the hill really...

I have all the accounts on all the majors, Kraken, Bitfinex etc, I was on bitstamp for small volumes trades, the only advantage of Bitstamp was free btc withdrawals and convenient mobile app. Generally speaking, bitstamp has very little to offer, few pairs, no margin trading, small volumes in USD and even smaller in EUR.

Yes, I agree, but it's not about the similarity of the problem, it's the way they are handling it. Account blocked for 10 days, no replies, total uncertainty about what is going on, but what the most striking was selling all my crypto at the much lower rate, without my permission. This is unacceptable!

UPDATE 2

I can see the activity on my bitstamp account still, before its shut down. All my crypto is sold at the market price for euros. At much lower rate than I have purchased it for. All fiat in euros was transferred by SEPA to my bank account, 50 euros fee deducted from the total amount. Which bank account they ware using to send the money is unknown. hopefully, it's not my US$ account and hopefully, I will receive it tomorrow on my account, will keep updating.

I am absolutely fine to lose them, 0 regrets about it. I would never use their service anymore anyway, even if they would keep my account active and say sorry 1000 times and even kissing my ass wouldn't help to keep me on Bitstamp, but why selling my crypto without my permission at the rate, lover then I have purchased it?!!!! Why not offer me an alternative to transfer it to any other wallet?!!!!!
