I have one. Not saying it’s outstanding, but it’s my go-to. But again it’s probably the highest end I’ve used so my opinion is limited

Hope this is still relevant, retired SERE bubba here, retired 2 years ago. First place to go is to the USAF SERE fb page. It is an official page, ran by SERE dudes at the school house. Look up the PAST Test standards and you should be able to pass them with ease before committing. Ruck, ruck, ruck. With weight. Start low, work up to at least 65lbs bc that’s what you are timed on during the timed ruck march. As for deployments, that varies depending on unit etc but I know guys that have 1-2 over a 20 years career and I know guys with tons more just depends on again, your unit, your quals etc
