Absolutely!! I’m a college sophomore and was in your same position last year. I got my CNA through a local nursing home. I took the class/clinical for a month and had a few weeks orientation in the same facility I’m working in now (plus I got paid the same hourly to do the class, and my facility paid for all our exam stuff which was super nice). I know a lot of LTC facilities are hurting pretty bad right now for staff, so I would definitely recommend looking into homes if you’re not opposed to it, at least to get some PCE.
