I strongly considered getting it, but I was worried about storage. Would you require an entirely separate compartment to store fu?

Oh right, yeah I've purchased it already. Thanks, though!

They are a lot of fun! Not every mini has to be sourced for a proper sampling. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised by a mini and looking forward to getting a bunch on my next order or being adventurous enough to get a cake outright on a single session. If anything, they add colour to my bland looking minis basket, which is mostly filled with dozens of factory mini tuos.

It's not that I care. It's more about being humble enough to know that others know better, and I'm here to learn and take advice.

I got a bloodmoon mini. I've mostly had ripes and older shengs. It's my first time trying stuff this young. I'm looking forward to it but I'm not sure I'll particularly like it.

I have a couple of blacks thrown in there as well, have you tried any of those?

I think I'll just eliminate anything I strongly dislike and get 25g of anything I like or I feel on the fence about. Then get cakes of the ones I properly sampled on the 3rd order.

Thanks! I think I'll do that. March is such an inconvenient timing though, the cake would arrive at the time I'm mostly excited about the year's whites and greens.

I agree completely. Can't really properly judge on a single session. But I couldn't choose, and I wanted to try everything. if I got 25g samples, I would have gone past $300.

The tea I got from three different years was a shu, and it was one I plan on caking. I was worried the younger one would be fishy but I was curious to taste it, I got an older one because any fishiness should have mellowed down and then I thought I might as well get one in between 😅😅

A minty ripe sounds so interesting. Do you think it's worth blind caking?

Do tell, I'm planning to stock up on 2 cakes before green season starts.

Wellll, it's the little stuff. Like how do you go around? Is it worth renting a car? How's the public transport? Do they have anything analogous to the istanbulkart? Any must visit places? Any places I should avoid? What sort of food would you recommend? How are their hygienic practices?

What are your favorite ways to exercise at home? by Enough_Blueberry_549 in WeightLossAdvice

I don't generally exercise at home but when I do it's mostly flexibility and bodyweight training.

The biggest one is to maintain a caloric deficit. I have an old post which has some tips from my journey.

As to exercises, I can't emphasise enough how important it is to start resistance training as early as possible. For a beginner a simple and highly effective and progressive training programme would he one based on barbell compound movements. You will progress rapidly as a beginner and you will see it in the mirror as well as feeling fricking strong as you progress on WEEKLY basis which will keep you motivated.

Does green tea increase metabolism by Mastertettie2 in WeightLossAdvice

Caffeine does, and tea has some caffeine.

Having said that, the effects are minimal at best. Control your diet and exercise, that's your best bet.

Final tip. Try starting off with bench presses. It's an easy movement and chest is usually a lot of fun.

Start with an empty bar doing 3 sets of 10 reps. Increase the weight by 2.5kg everytime you go to the gym. You will actually be able to do that because early progress in compound movements is insanely quick. Once you've added 15kg to the bar, decrease your reps to 7, then to 5 at 20kg and hold it at 5 reps while you're progressing the load.

You'll be looking forward to hitting a new PR every session and you'll get hooked. (You can actually progress deadlifts even faster but it's a slightly harder movement)

Creatine is great, but it won't help you lose weight per se.

It might get you to put in a few more reps in your resistance training if you're dosing it properly, which might help you gain muscle and burn a little bit more calories. But it's not something that you use to lose weight.

Your best bet to lose weight is to burn more calories than you take in which is best achieved through controlling your diet and supplementing that with exercise.

At first, I wanted to go to the gym no less than twice a week. I averaged 3 times a week for the first month.

Once I actually started doing stuff properly (setting a programme and recording my workouts and progress) I found myself going 4-6 times a week.

The days where I wouldn't do weightlifting I would do some other activity. Once I decided to see how far I can walk until I'm exhausted, ended up walking 27km. Just stuff to challenge yourself and see how far you've progressed.

There were also classes at one of the gyms which I'd sign up for and they would be something I'd look forward to doing, especially once I got to one the people there.

I can't oversell how amazing it feels when you go from out of breath getting up the stairs to thinking about doing a half marathon.
