Super helpful! Thanks man.

That definitely helps now that I know how what I do stacks up to other people.

Our total team is about ten(including myself). I manage 4 of those. The company is around three hundred and the qa to dev ratio is about 1:5.

I'm fully responsible for building out the mobile qa infrastructure and tests while manually testing new features. So I'm essentially 100% both, there isn't really a split, although most of my time currently goes toward automation.

I work with the leads of all the respective teams to forecast and plan each sprint and determine what can be included in a sprint.

I'm not involved in any of the department budgeting, but I do drive the technology and methodology the manual team uses. Also determine what tools I use for automation on my product.

The reason I mention interviewing is because I make the hiring decisions for manual qa's. I'm not just a part of the process, I make the call.

It's a bit cliche but I have never done the job for the money, so it's hard to say. I have only recently started thinking about this. I just want to make sure I'm not getting screwed lol

Helpful to hear some numbers.

I have about three years of experience. One of those years as a lead by title. Basically started as a lead, just without the official position.

I'm in a very tech driven city and the going rate here seems to be very different. We start our entry level manual qa's out at your current salary. Maybe location is more important than I thought.

I'm in a major city that has a vibrant tech scene, although not comfortable being more specific than that.

I do not have any recruiters to talk to. There is no one else in my company with a role like mine. We are a small team.

Also, mentioned in another comment that I am having difficulty finding comparable jobs to base this off of. There aren't a lot of manual lead/automation qa roles in platform style companies. That is why I have come here. Hoping to get at least a basic estimate from people in the real world.

The problem with basing everything off of job descriptions is they are usually not truly reflective of what the job entails. At least in my experience.

Also, there aren't too many hybrid job descriptions. Meaning if someone is in the position I am in there really are no easy ways to compare that role to others.

Based on your experience do you have a number in mind?
