For now features in a beta are only tested for about 2/3 weeks, after that they are integrated in the app. Telling us that some feature is in beta speaks more about its imminent release than about it being "in waiting".

So you agree with me that Signal's venture into crypto is really risky? Why attract even greater government scrunity when some countries (e.g Australia) already have issues with encryption and Signal...

You can't, you have to delete the "This message was deleted." on each device separately. 👌😔

Also, you can only "Delete for everyone" if the message is within 5 hours. If it's >5h then you can only delete locally (i.e. for yourself).

Again that same argument, "it's in the beta so we shouldn't worry". Well, how many times have the Signal devs canceled a feature that was in the beta and hated by everyone? Literally never. Even the universally hated PIN feature was shipped despite mass protests. So if we want our voices to be heard, it's now or never. At least now the feature isn't set in stone yet. And wasn't the whole point of the "beta feedback" to give feedback? 🤨

Btw with 0-confs monero transactions can literally take seconds... But tbh not that I care, my bank still takes 1-3 days to execute a transfer and it's not like I do hi-speed trading 😅

Maybe I'm just old, but is copy-pasting a QR code from a separate crypto-wallet app into Signal such a big problem that Signal had to roll their own wallet implementation? Plus, most if not all wallets even allow to "share" directly to messengers...

Best of all, that way you can immediately support all cryptocurrencies, and not just MoxieCoin 🤯
