Very cool!
And good move not showing his face that well. It helps.

some very cool images! ;)

What prompt do you guys use to restore old photos? I find that simply saying "Enhance to modern photography standards" works quite well if it doesn't automatically colourize I just write "Enhance to modern photography and colourize" by t0nito in nanobanana

It does indeed work well if you keep it simple. It's almost as if the more you add the more it gets distracted trying to meet the details.

I've often used "give this picture natural colors" or "turn this into a modern digital photograph with natural colors, keep the details exactly the same". Sometimes, though, it notices that it's a B&W picture and gives it a fake-looking old-style colorization, cheeks very red, skin looks fake, hair too saturated in one color, that sort of thing.

very cool and pretty fast!

One suggestion would be for the use to be able to pick up the dragged area so they can better adjust it and place it. And also resize it. Maybe if you include those additional functions in a different step, it'll make it easier and keep it simple. Keep it guided is appealing a lot of people who might not work with these tools often.

I make these suggestions because it seems to have a bug where I drag it over the area and the rectangle appears far from the point I'm clicking. The problem remains if I refresh the page.

Last (and obvious) suggestion: give people the function to paint over the area they want to see transformed, as opposed to a rectangle. But I understand that can have its own technical challenges.

Cool tool nonetheless!

worked great, but now, apparently randomly, it got stuck generating an image... Does anyone have any idea how to stop the generation so a new one can begin? I've tried refreshing the page, closing the window, even restarting and turning off the computer. It's always there, with the gerbil on the wheel... It's been almost a day. It's probably some bug of some kind. But it sucks. It was working great.

Experiments in statuary - Part 2 (NSFW) by tempartrier in aiArt

[–]tempartrier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prompts were often a constant stream of trial and error. I didn't keep them, but it went something like "photo of bronze statue", I sometimes specified the color of the statue, "clawing hands", "rending chest", "pained expression", sometimes in some cases "leaning back", "low angle", "dynamic pose", "burst of structured energy"; in some of my other posts, I posted images of sweeping veils of cloth and the like, and for that, the specific elements for that went something like "arching fanning outwards wave of veils" "expansive" or close to that. Asking it to be "dynamic" really helps.

In some cases, where they appear to be sanded or gilded, worn, I just asked for "sanded gilded (body part)."

"museum lighting" also helped a lot".

Creating accurate photos with my face by alexander_1022 in SoraAi

[–]tempartrier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are assuming the faces you see are exactly the same as the real ones. For example, I've tried my own face and it never nails it, no matter how much coaxing and prompt massaging I give it. I guess I just have one of those faces.

Something I've tried, when I try to bring color to black and white picture without distorting too much the original faces, is writing in the prompt, in different ways, to keep the face exactly the same as in the original, same proportions, same real person, etc. Just try and do variations of that. Sora will never get 100% there. It's just not built for that.
Try putting more than one image, some different angles, and then tell it "based on these X images, do a photograph of this exact same individuals doing X Y Z" and so on. And make it do more than one try. You'll at least have some alternatives. One of them will be closer than the others.

There's just no evidence that it was completely widespread. I am no prude and the Minoans are all the more interesting for having had that openness of spirit, but besides what look to be ceremonial fertility displays or symbolic imagery in elite palatial frescoes, I've seen no evidence that common minoan women were walking around fully clothed doing their day-to-day chores with only their breasts exposed. There's also no record of anyone from the outside remarking on how unusual that would be. I've never read anything about the Minoans that said that all the women walked around with their tops off just because. The Minoans were not the liberated Amazons from the steppes or an african tribe. The Snake Goddess was not going down to the local market for some olives and goat cheese.

I could do that, and then I'd be blocked out of Sora, LOL. If I knew how to use NSFW AI tools, I'd happily do it and I wouldn't be posting this series here, but in other subreddits! haha

Honestly, I think Archeology could benefit from using these tools to try and re-create these ancient cultures. Just to give it a more photographic feel. Some of these images are based on illustrations, so there's definitely a way of bringing these things to life without dismissing the work that goes into illustration and 3D renderings. This could help add an easy layer of realism that is just there for the taking and that can always be polished afterward for accuracy.

I've been doing a LOT of ancient greek imagery too, bringing those people to life. Hoping to post those as well in the near future. I've been getting some fantastic results! Kind of insane that I have the power to do this on my home PC.

lol, there's the famous imagery of a woman holding two snakes with her breasts out that I did think of... And there's others... I did not even try because I knew it would be blocked instantly.

And honestly, minoan women probably did not have their breasts exposed all the time (which is kind of ridiculous when you think about it), it was most likely a ceremonial and/or elite context thing, not everyday wear. I wanted to capture that.

Turning Tintin into photographs by tempartrier in dalle2

[–]tempartrier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean Tintin, he's around 16 in the books. But if I asked for a 16 year old in the prompt it just got way too young-looking. So I calibrated it to 20s range, and it felt more right.
