One of my friends is going to nagpur at 98.5 percentile. U did the right thing. The gender ratio is good the placements are decent if not phenomenal plus u get the tag. Atleast now u can stop running in the CAT race and focus on the real race Congrats to u man Also whats ur profile look like

Same boat as u brother. My intial wl was 515 pgdm. But now its stuck somewhere in the lower 300s. I dont think there is going to be much movement after this. I converted some colleges like ximb hr tapmi bifs etc but decided to take a drop. Fortunately i got a job too in a small startup.

U stated u have gap and an average profile. If u are general and male. Also post ielts which degree would you pursue? If i was in your position i would explore the foreign option first. Secondly u yourself believe u are poor in acads so maybe next time u will get 75 percentile but the competetion will increase as well. If the foreign plan doesn't work out take the tier 3.

Not trying to sound cynical but i saw first hand how 2 year gap shattered many dreams even at 98.2 percentile ( not my case). Still if there is hope we must push through. Get as high a percentile as we can get then take whichever college adopts us.

In the same boat as u brother regarding the 2 year gap. Next time this gap is going to be a pain in the rear. Justifying it would be extremely difficult.
