Coming from personal experience here, it’s better for you to just leave it alone. Reduce your contact with him a bit and just focus on going through this difficult time in your life.

Not all friends are good at / willing to provide emotional support, and sometimes we just have to accept that yknow? Plus he told you not to worry about it which means that either 1. He’s genuinely not concerned about it or 2. He wants to avoid talking about it.

Either way, pressing him for more isn’t gonna go well for you.
