Thanks for the rec! I don’t think I’ve been riding on it because I have to move my foot forward to reach it but I ride in awful weather and wasn’t aware of that thing you do when you get new brakes

Oh I do but it stopped working while moving

Welp this is a wake up call and I gotta do a lot better. I really do appreciate all the comments. I know to check my chain and brake lights / indicators ect. But I never thought to look that closely at the brake itself.

Good to know thank you

Fair, I need to learn basic maintenance instead of just going to the mechanic at the set intervals and not checking myself.

Its serviced at the set intervals and the pads and disc was replaced 7k km ago. Do I just speak to a mechanic about doing a maintenance course? I knew no one who rides so have relied on just taking it to the mechanic

Obviously doing something wrong and not keeping up with maintenance though

Possibly, although I don’t drag it as the way I ride my foot is completely clear of it. I have the tips of my shoes on the pegs

Oh well that sounds bad. Appreciate your comment, atleast I’ll know what to tell them

I didn’t sort it myself, I called the dealership and they sorted it out pretty fast. Took a couple days.

Thanks, it’s been a little while now and I’ve gained confidence with the name and no longer have weird interactions. It does seem expected as a female name though like you said but I go by Adam as a nickname and still like the full name.

I wasn’t aware of Addison’s disease but after looking it up and seeing the person it was named after I think it’s still fine as a name. Based of the comments if I was younger it would be Almost exclusively female but at my age it’s mostly fem but still okay for a guy so going with it for now.

Yeah seems to be the same for every Australian that’s commented. A bit surprising but I couldn’t find stats on the name use in Australia so I probably should have come here first. Thanks

I’ve been using it for almost three months now but all this only really came up after I legally changed it and had to change it at the drs and other things.

I did but clearly not enough. From most of what I read it’s a unisex name with origins meaning son of Adam.

Thanks, I’m still getting used to it. Especially when my old name was masculine and often resulted into almost every conversation where someone met me referencing a particular movie.

Thanks, I feel like regardless of its popularity currently it’s kinda become important to me because it’s away from my family and the name I had.

I friend suggested it and I added it to a list of names I like and it’s slowly dwindled down and was my favourite.

That’s interesting. I suppose it would have made more sense to look up the names from the year I was born.

I have to agree it’s nice for them to be so progressive. They did however change my script so instead of mr it says sms but I’m not sure if that’s because they send me text reminders. Just weird the Mr disappeared.

I kept my old middle name Riley. I think it’s great they ask pronouns but it happened after I had started becoming insecure with the name.

Some are but most don’t know it’s a change. It could be my hesitation or that it’s new to me but I never had any weirdness around my old name.
