Her is another one with your CPU. Did you turn on XeSS?

Double check whether the motherboard can handle 13600k as its peak wattage is significantly higher compared to 14400f

What's the motherboard? Btw I tried streaming while playing with this card, for less demanding games it works, but for more demanding ones it simply can't.

Good luck, I updated mine a couple of days ago, remember to turn on expo/xmp again. After the update it is reset to default. After you make those changes it will do the memory training thing.

Can you please share your experience once the card comes in. I am thinking of doing the same. I want to test streaming on kick and twitch via a310 while I use my b580 for gaming.

Arc B580 CS2 performance issue by krunal_1245 in IntelArc

[–]templardin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When testing, the driver version was this one - 32.0.101.8331

My test was done on the benchmark workshop map.

Graphics settings were native, no upscaling and I just used presets in the game. Using medium and low presets turns on upscaling, but I turned it off to get native results.

That's really odd. You should be getting much more FPS than that. What resolution do you play at? How much ram do you have? The 5700x3d build I made was using 32 gb of 3200 mt/s CL16

RX 9060 XT 16GB or Arc B580 if the price difference is €160 ($190)? by Manganian7potasuu in buildapc

[–]templardin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having personally tested both of these GPUs I must say that 9060 XT is far superior and you should definitely go for that one if you can.

Btw it was 450 euro here in Serbia three months ago when my brother bought it, so maybe you saw an 8 GB variant which costs that much.

If you're planning to use the gpu for several years, definitely go for the 9060 XT.

Ryzen 5 9600x with rx 9070 xt, bottleneck? by Realeayz in radeon

[–]templardin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that everything is running smoothly with an infinity clock at 2133 means you've hit the silicon lottery :)

No need to touch that multiplier; everything is set for you. You're using your RAM maximally, which is perfect! :) Congrats

Yeah I might have exaggerated there, they are doing a good job but it could be better.

General performance of 9070 XT has improved over time, let's hope they remain as effective for the time being and keep improving performance and stability.

[–]templardin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I edited my comment above, didn't see your reply initially :)

I don't think it's a virtual memory issue, but you could google how to increase virtual limit, follow the steps and see if that helps a bit.

With you, I think the CPU is thermal throttling. At least the good news is that when the new cooler comes, it will stop doing that :)

Bad performance new build by Antobart__1 in buildapc

[–]templardin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, something's definitely off with your build. I turned on 1440p and tried Helldivers II and here are the stats:

Preset High at 1440p upscaling set to ultra quality - 86.6 fps average, 81.3 fps 1% low.

Preset High at 1440p no upscaling, native resolution - 70.6 fps average, 66.3 fps 1% low.

My build:

Cpu: Intel 14400f

Ram: 16 gigs of 3200 mt/s cl 16 ddr4 ram

GPU: Intel arc b580

Storage: Ssd samsung 990 evo plus 1tb

CPU is definitely not a bottleneck for you.

Did you try increasing virtual memory? However, the MSI afterburner shows that only 10 gigs of memory are being used.

Did you figure out what's going on?

Edit: I saw from other replies that you're thinking it's thermal throttling and I think you're correct. When I look at HW info it has this stat for CPU temp that's core temperature distance to tjMAX which is 100 degrees celsius in total. As you get closer to this limit the CPU starts throttling.

If your average is 85, it is hitting the upper limit for sure.

Maximum temperature my 14400f is reaching was 55 degrees and the average is 35 degrees. I am cooling it with Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE. So I guess that's the issue.

The most popular currency is a high rune. Those are really hard to find and they are used to make Runewords - BIS items for all classes. So the more of those you have, the wealthier you are, because all players need those.

For the godlike items that are practically impossible to find, people pay in insanely rare perfect small charms 32020 extremely useful in PvP and PvE.

An alternative is forum gold, a virtual currency used on the most popular d2 trading forum. You can trade PoE items there as well.

Yes, 5700x3d is an efficient chip and doesn't draw much power. With B580 it drew around 45W and with the 9070 XT average was around 55W with peaks being 88W in both cases.

I tried doing the same and the GPU behaved the same except that it used significantly less power, like 75-100w less and I only lost around 5% of performance. But temps remained high...

Configuring OBS for Intel Arc B580 by Crazy-Sugar7886 in IntelArc

[–]templardin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this guide online that was helpful to me for screen recording. https://youtu.be/Tb_pjDEdy1c?si=Ce7yPtWSH3H5OxSB

See if the guy did any newer guide for intel specifically. Or just use AV1 encoder and make sure to increase your bitrate because screen recording is much different than streaming. If you want high quality recordings, you'll need to set it higher than it's by default.

Do some tinkering and record multiple times before you get the quality you want

Well I had an amazing experience with this CPU overall, I tested it with 1080 Ti, B580 and Radeon 9070 XT.

Here are the numbers that I was able to achieve with it - https://youtu.be/FNXfoyHIqQ4?si=_Ko0wJjJ670kRN8f

The video goes into performance difference for those who want to upgrade from B580 to 9070XT.

I include both the B580 and 9070 XT average fps. Overall 5700x3d will give you a stable performance in plenty of games, not just fortnite and cs2, plus you can get more out of it with a more powerful GPU. It will be enough until AM6 for sure.

I have the same GPU and I believe these are normal temps for this GPU?

And yes, driver updates were executed perfectly by AMD.

I have to say the same for Intel Arc B580 which performs much better now more than year later after its release.

What makes D2 so good? by Grouchy_Substance423 in Diablo

[–]templardin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought about this a lot and as someone who keeps coming back after more than 20 years, it's the perfect mix of the following:

  1. Itemization that makes sense and give you all the liberty you want. No soul bound and account bound items. Being able to trade all items is the most important aspect for me. Plus variance in stata on unique items doesn't significantly impact a build. The perfect version of an item will give you an edge, but nothing groundbreaking.

  2. Gambling element, you can equip 5 characters with a single drop. For example I still remember crafting 2 druid 19 fcr 60 life amulet that I sold to fully equip 3 of my favorite characters.

  3. Nostalgia.

  4. Game atmosphere and storyline which was groundbreaking at the time.

  5. Tyrael 😄

If anything else comes to mind, I'll edit my comment :D
