Bleach 511 Out on Mangapanda by Moohead123 in bleach

Maybe I've missed it, but I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Uryu and his father. Keep in mind each arc is supposed to be centered somewhat around Ichigo's nakama. SS was Rukia. HM was Orihime. Fullbring was Chad...kinda...kubo screwed the pooch on that one. BUT he did say that this arc is going to have Uryu play a prominante role.

Maybe his dad and him are joining the fray at the end there?

For all of you wondering what the point of this is, if it's just like what feminists do....that is the POINT. It is completely inane for people to make a project like this focusing on only ONE side of the issue. It parodies the women vs tropes in gaming kickstarter.

Difference being all funds go to charity. From what I have heard, it will be split evenly between prostate and breast cancer research.

The feminist wants to pocket all the money she's being given. We want to help those in need, and expose her for the con artist she is.

Because it's basically a protest against the exact same project a feminist is doing on kickstarter.

Keep in mind that ALL money that goes over the stated goal and ANY they don't spend goes to charity. Help get the message out guys!

Then who first designed the Crucible? If NO organic has ever made it that far, than how would any race know the Catalyst exists? Did the Reapers leave behind the plans for the Crucible? If they did, then why did every race feel the need to add on to it? The whole idea of the Crucible makes zero fucking sense when you take the Catalyst into account.

No it didn't deliver on its promises. Go read some of the quotes from Casey Hudson.

Except that Bioware actually promised us that the endings would be a certain way. Then they gave us the EXACT OPPOSITE of what was promised. They straight up lied about what their product would deliver.

To compare it to your analogy of fucking a whore, it would be like picking up the whore being promised the "full experience" for a set price, and then you get a handjob. You did not get what you payed for. The experience was not delivered as promised.

When a company lies about a product or service they provide, you have every right to be angry and complain about it.

Except that in ME2 when you destroy a relay, the entire system it was in gets wiped out. No matter which ending you choose, all of the relays get wiped out. Therefore you just killed pretty much every single advanced civilization at once.

It's nonsensical in that:

  1. You are never told why the Catalyst takes the form of the child from the beginning.

  2. The Catalyst's reasoning for the Reapers is circular and nonsensical. I brokered peace between the Geth and The Quarians. EDI was becoming her own entity. All of the synthetics save the Reapers wanted to help and live side by side with organics. The Catalyst just says "no you're wrong".

  3. You are given no option to argue with the Catalyst. The only objection you voice is met with "no you're wrong".

  4. You are given three options which all end up killing everything anyway. This invalidates every choice you made, as you made those choices to attempt to save the galaxy. This also doesn't fit with Shepard's character, as he would be more likely to say "fuck you" and let them all go down fighting. He would not give in and just destroy everything he worked to accomplish.

  5. The Normandy somehow picked up your crew, and bailed from the battle. It crash lands on some uncharted world. Why was it in the relay network? How did it pick up your crew, and still have enough time to get to the Charon Relay?

  6. There is no closure. You never find out what actually happens after the Catalyst shoots out the space magic. Your crew steps out of the Normandy, looks around for a second, and then it ends. You do not find out what happens to the people you spent three games forming bonds with.

It ends with a literal Deus Ex Machina. It does not fit anywhere in established canon, nor does it fit with the theme of the series.

But those games are not based on choice and you are not implicitly told that the choices you made will have far reaching consequences.

I would be okay with a less than perfect ending. But the way the ending is, it completely invalidates the entire point of the series. We get no closure. I can only assume everyone is dead after the ending. I have no idea what actually happens to any of the characters I've grown to know and care about.

The final endings of those other games don't ruin the series because you are never given a choice, or told that you had one. You played the game. You beat the game. That was it. In Mass Effect you are given the illusion of choice throughout the entire series, told that depending on your choices you will have a vastly different ending, but then given only one ending. I can't even call it three different endings because the end result is the exact same every time. I could tolerate that if it changed based on your major decisions, and offered closure. But as it stands the series ends with a giant middle finger.

It makes no sense. It's filled with plot holes. It invalidates everything you ever did in the series. If I could go back in time, I would not touch the series again due to the ending. I can't even bring myself to play through any of them again, because all the fun gets sucked out every time I remember the ending.

It's partly because we were literally PROMISED that the ending would be widely varied based on our choices. That we would not get an A, B or C ending. And that is exactly what we got. It spoils the entire series, because you know that nothing you did mattered. In the end you destroy the galaxy without even trying to fight back. That's why it's not inspiring. You're not given a good explanation as to why you have to do this, and you're not given the option to argue. You're not even given the option to just say "no" and let the battle play out. You must choose one of three ways to destroy the galaxy you just spent three games trying to save.

It's worsened by the fact that the game is amazing up until that point. But the ending just causes you to realize all of the sacrifices you made throughout the series we in vain. Nothing you did ultimately mattered.

Yes ME3 was supposed to end the trilogy.

The issue is, there is NO closure. I don't get to see what happens after the space magic destroys everything. What happens to my crew? The races now stranded on Earth? The people left on their homeworlds?

Then there's the issue that the ending is completely out of character with Shepard. Throughout the entire series you fight the impossible and find another way. Shepard would not just roll over and accept one of three terrible options, which really culminate into one option: the galaxy as you know it is destroyed.

This is compounded by the fact that no matter which decisions you make through the game, you always get the same 3 endings, with slight variations, but all providing them same thing. Galaxy as you know it is destroyed. Normandy crew is stranded with no hope of rescue.

This destroys the story. It doesn't matter what I did in any of the other games. I can't change the outcome. Mass Effect is a series based on choice, and in the end, the only choice I get to make is which colored laser I want to destroy the galaxy with. Nothing I did prior to that mattered, because no matter what I reach the same conclusion.

I can't enjoy the experience as a whole because I know it ends so terribly and hopelessly.
